I've put buz and Adel in the middle for my team and as someone (correctly after thinking about it) pointed out they are too similar, do you think that's the case for Zamora and boothroyd?

People do 100% hate Barton n get on his back before he has done anything. I have witnessed it three times already, one fan next to me was absolutely hounding him before we even kicked off!!! Some absolute #####s at LR!! Shocking fans

I thought Barton had a pretty decent game. Not easy when you spent all game playing alongside Diakite the nutter or SWP out of position and out of form.

And for once, his set pieces were actually pretty good. Several really good corners. Sadly, he dumped that free kick into the school end at a vital moment, just as we were building up some momentum and getting hte crowd into the game, and that's what everyone remembers.

Some people want to play Adel at CM in 442. Unbelievable. This isn't Championship Manager, kids. We do actually want to win the ball occasionally.

Granted Barton frustrates me a fair few times. But he is still our best midfielder by a country mile and even if he does play a bad pass he never hides from getting it again or stops trying to win it back. He played better when he had Faurlin next to him. Since then he has had Derry/Buzz/SWP/Traore and the 32 minute wonder Diakate next to him. But he almost always plays better than any of those when in central midfield so he has to play.

Have to laugh at those also starting Mackie right wing. Did you not watch the 17 or so games he started in that position? He was useless! He should start on the bench and be an impact sub like Blackburn.

At last, a few sensible posts about Barton. He may not be a great player but he is the best midfielder we've got by a long way whether you like it or not. With all the injuries and suspensions we've got, i'd play Mackie up front with Zamora, because it's obvious already that Zamora is no lone striker!
