  • The drummer in Q block yesterday

I appreciate the enthusiasm, but please, stop.

I can't see too well from the paddocks, but I don't think it was FreeSeat - someone on here must know the guy?

A drum should be used to maintain rhythm. The guy yesterday was hammering away on every singing note, with sporadic stops and starts. He also drums way too fast. We don't need to chant at a million miles an hour.

Several times yesterday PQR blocks started off a chant and the drummer killed it off by hammering too fast and with no rhythm. It's really hard to maintain a good chant when someone is drumming badly over it, or at least in a different time. At Swansea away this season their drummer very effectively ruined our chanting momentum several times simply by playing a different tune with a big pounding rhythm.

I really do appreciate a good drummer. But let's get some lessons for our guy first...

Also, we look stupid when we chant '1-0 and you still don't sing' at an away stand that had been outsinging us all game. Do we really have to sing stuff like that as a default?

Fark me... Your an expert drummer then? Never thought I'd see someone complain about that! Bring your drum next game, show us how it's done

Sure it's hardly the biggest thing that went wrong at LR yesterday, but its annoying when the drummer is actually having a negative effect on our chanting and atmosphere.

I'm not an expert drummer, no, but I can keep a rhythm

Do you really think the drummer added anything yesterday?

I couldn't give a sh@t about a drum! Had more important things to worry about. If it worries you that much, take your own drum or take your iPod and listen to your whale music.

The crap atmosphere contributes to poor performances on the pitch though, so it is something we should worry about.

I'm hardly saying its a life threatening problem. But the drummer would be twice as effective if he just stuck to a beat and went a bit slow, that's all I'm asking!
