    20 Blackburn v Wigan
    16 Wigan v Wolves

Liverpool and Everton are a game behind so I've given the pts to Liverpool with no change in league position.
    ---------------------------------------------

I've grouped them into top 7 as these teams are away out on their own.
8 - 15 are away out on their own.
And we are the bottom 5

    Wolves v top 7 teams = 3
    Wolves v middle 8 teams = 6
    Wolves v bottom 5 teams = 3

    QPR v top 7 teams = 6
    QPR v middle 8 teams = 5
    QPR v bottom 5 teams = 1

    Blackburn v top 7 teams = 4
    Blackburn v middle 8 teams = 5
    Blackburn v bottom 5 teams = 3

    Bolton v top 7 teams = 3
    Bolton v middle 8 teams = 6
    Bolton v bottom 5 teams = 3

    Wigan v top 7 teams = 5
    Wigan v middle 8 teams = 5
    Wigan v bottom 5 teams = 2

    Just supposing for theoretical arguments sake, all teams take 0pts from top 7, 1pt from middle 8, and 3pts from bottom 5, we would look like this;

    Wolves 15 pts + 21 pts = 36 pts
    Blackburn 14 pts + 21 pts = 35 pts
    Bolton 15pts +20 pts = 35 pts
    Wigan 11 pts + 20 pts = 31pts
    QPR 8 pts + 21 pts = 29 pts

We have a collossal task, will cisse and zamora make the difference?

Make all that right - thought we'd finish bottom before a ball was kicked.

    Next season MASSIVE.
We need to bounce back immediately IF the worst happens, IF by some miracle we're still in the Prem then we need to plan immediately and ensure we don't end up using over 35 different players over a season
I need some time in the sunshine, I gotta slow it right down.

We've got the players to make a good go of what's left, but atm I have little confidence in MH.

this shows why we have for long been in trouble even if we haven't been in bottom three. We just have not picked enough points from bottom 7 teams. And a massive task to get them from top 7 teams. Not yet mission impossible, but not far.

The only other help for us will be teams with nothing to play for at the season's end. Spurs and man c. could have their positons guaranteed by then.

Always possible in short run. Our worst game this season has been against Chelsea and we won.

Yeah but likes of Rovers beating ManUre and Bolton beating Liverpool kind of throw that sort of predicting into turmoil.
Personally, I feel games against middling teams will be hardest.... they have nothing to play for and will be relaxed and stroking it about (whilst we'll be crippled with nerves, fear and dread).
Ultimately it's all about the home games - we simply have to get points at LR; it's only way we're gonna stay up.

Like Blackpool last season, did not get points enough at home. I have been thinking that home game against Newcastle, when we had 20 chances. Would it have turned our home run if we had won?

The other bottom four teams will score easy points on the games they still have to play against each other. It's going to be drama all the way.

Can I just point out the major flaw here?
You give 3 points to each team playing another team in the bottom 5. So if Bolton play Blackburn, they both get three points.
Can't see how that works out, or is this proof of the mystical 'six pointer'

just read what Curbishley did in Wham six years ago. ''after looking certain for relegation they won seven out of their nine last games''! Also Fulham had their miracle about the same time. Anything is possible in the last fixtures.

Whichever way it's done, the easiest points games are at the bottom. Just a simplistic overview that's all. We need to work harder than the other teams around us.
