  • is hughes still "your" man?

after being nigh on destroyed at blackburn, sitting back on a 2-0 lead at villa, more indiscipline, and a loss to rivals ( and it could have been worse)
is hughes still the man to save us?
time is running out, players keep getting reds, we can't blame refs anymore...it's down to qpr, down to the players...

have we got "get out" clauses in the contracts?
we had 1 chance from swp yesterday and he fluffed it and was subbed straight after, centre mid? never.
a few daisy cutters was about it, we never looked like scoring, they did..every time they went forward.
i doubted we'd saty up cos of the lack of "activity" and then we did strengthen when flav left....we had hope, a great win at stoke and talk was of europa cups...how quickly it changed. i cannot believe we are still out of the bottom 3 , it's surreal!

I have to say, was glad when we got him.
        Not so sure now, though.
This sitting back we do an awful lot of, not good, not good at all.
The lack of pace when we attempt to go on the break, is lamentable.
MH should be having an impact by now, but looks like he's nowhere near making one.

I don't like to swap and change, never worked in the past. What we do need is the same players on the pitch so that our players know what to expect from one another.

I think Mark will go a long way with QPR, we just need to start picking up points very soon.

If we do go down, I'm sure it will only last a year or two max.

I´m struggling to find out why they say his former teams has played as a unit.
No sign of that so far and I´m not blind.

              My opinion only.

He is still my man for 100% and would definitely want him to be with us the next season. With his men.

It's been very difficult so far, we've had no cohesion with suspensions, injuries and international tournaments. The teams been weakened significantly and that's always tough when you're trying to impose your ideas on a new set of players.

Not to say he hasn't made some tactical errors, he definitely has, but we also have no choice but to get behind him now.

I don't think things would have been any better if Warnock had stayed though. We were terrible then too.....

It took him half a season to get anywhere with Fulham. At Christmas they were near the bottom of the table but finished mid table. I always thought it was going to be tough as time is not on his side. Also he brought in the best players he could but in January it is never easy and am not sure these would have been his first choice.

Very valid points from the two last posters. I guess I was too hasty making such a negative conclusion already.
                      He IS a slow starter..

I suspect MH inherited quite a task from NW so we must give him time. I had hoped that MH would have swiftly made us ugly, dire, tight, cagey, professional, "streetwise" and difficult to beat; I expected to pick up a lot of single points and just about survive in the league.... I have to say I'm disappointed that we still appear to be playing like a bunch of tarts though and losing relentlessly.

'losing relentlessly'. That's an interesting phrase, must trademark that one.

was pleased when he came in but my opinion is changing, bought the wrong type of players what we need in our situation. we needed all the players he signed to be used to the prem not to take 4-5 games to just start to get to grips, but for me it still baffles me why we signed diakite as we were already short in that department and needed reinforcements sooner rather than later as had to wait to come back from Acn.
