  • Hughes at fault for sending-off

Why did nobody, on or off the pitch take responsibility to have a chat with diakite? 14,000 other people could see it was needed.

How can you blame anyone than the player himself? Ridiculos.

Granted, Hughes, Barton and any other senior players could have pulled him up, but no one made Diakate throw those challenges in. He should have been sent off earlier.

    Odd post.
    Your mum would love me...

They probably did, just got lost in translation. Samba's English is rumoured to be as good as Kenny Dalglishe's.

the guy is a professinal footballer, of international standard, getting to the semis of the african cup, having played in a professional league in france for the past 2 years...think he's to blame.

Any player can lose their head at any time. He'd already sent in in a few loose tackles before he went. Granted he should have walked earlier, and that was the time to have got him sorted out.

Everyone could see it coming, so someone should have said something. Doesn't matter whether he's professional or not, even rooney still loses it. Do you not think more professional teams would have these topics covered?

I think it's ludicrous to expect a manger to take a player off after 25ish mins (whilst losing) because player's been booked and may or may not have a bit of "red mist"? It's 95% the player's responsibility to get a grip and maybe 5% responsibility of team-mates(especially skipper) to becalm the player.

Have to disagree Benny we were never going going to get a result with 10 men and it was clear to everyone he wasnt going to last until half time.

MH must have seen what we did and had to make a choice leave him on and risk him getting sent off and us going down to 10 men or sub him, speak to him dyring the week, calm him down for next week.

MH gets paid to make choices, big manager make big descions and this was one and i am afraid MH to me didnt make the right one.

Joise M / Alex Ferg i have seen make subs after 20 mins for tactical reasons such as this.
