  • How are we going to afford our huge wage bill.....

    in the Championship?

I cannot see these mercenaries being up for games against the likes of Barnsley away on a January night.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

can see a big drop in attendances too, think people are falling out of love with the game
I must away now, I can no longer tarry
This morning's tempest I have to cross
I must be guided without a stumble
Into the arms I love the most

I know loads of people from loads of different london clubs, from league 1 upwards who have all given up season tickets this year, some of these people have had them for 20 yrs plus. Not saying the football bubble has burst but with people still struggling in the worst financial situation since WW2, it amazes me how football thinks its immune. they just keep milking every bit of money they can with footballers still earning astronomical wages.

Simple we wont be able to cope with the wage bill. at least 7 or 8 out of the door Young,Onuhra,Ferdinand,Baron, Faurlin,SWP Zamora,Cisse,Taarabt,Traore, none of these will want to play in the Championship?

They wont stay. Nothing to do with wage bill, we get the parachute payments so the wages are fine (provided we got straight back up!), but Barton, SWP, Cisse and a couple of others will not want to play 2nd tier football I guarentee you that.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

I used to go from worrying myself sick about how we, on 17-18000 crowds can afford to pay the sort of wages that we are to thinking fc uk it im just gonna enjoy the ride. Today i simply couldnt care less. Fernandez offered these obsence contracts let him deal with it.

Relegation get-out clauses in their contracts for several of them, no doubt.

Faurlin won't leave just yet, no-one will risk buying him until he proves that he can come back as good as before from his ACL injury.
                          Think Young would stay too.
And we'd then be left with what still remains from last year's squad..
Faurlin is my hero!!! Love him!!! #########
