Barton won't get any credit though because the boo boys have made their mind up. Luckily he doesn't give a toss what they think.
Thats the problem he doesnt give a sh1 t, none of them do. But if you really think Barton played well yesterday then you watched a different game to me.

I doubt he is well liked in the dressing room so to have him still as captain is ridiculous . cant motivate the team when we go a goal down and cant pass the ball 6 yards . Need to look for a leader in the summer .

I would also add that he is physically weak, don't like to say it but Bryan Robson was of a similar stature but rarely lost the midfield for both utd and England. Barts is incapable of bossing the midfield and he tackles like a fairy often arriving late.

He also has an annoying tendency of shaking opponents hands at every opportunity, is he trying to cover up on the pitch that he is sh::e by pretending he's a model pro.

Barton needs to up his game alright, but by no means, is Barton our worst player.
For me, Wright-philips has been the biggest disappointment, he was simply woeful yesterday, woeful.

Barton wasn't bad yesterday. In some of our recent games he has been very good.

I think there is a direct correlation between the intelligence of the poster and their liking for Barton. The *****ic sheep here can't get over the fact he speaks his mind on twitter and earns a lot of money.

If Derry put in ANY of Barton's performances this season we'd all be saying 'wow when did Derry learn to pass so well?! look how much ground he is covering! wow, a tackle that actually won the ball!' etc.

Can't believe people seriously want him dropped. With Diakite out he is our only Premiership quality CM.

he runs his nuts off every game which goes unnoticed, but his distribution of the ball could be better!!!

He has been slack with simple passes and caused us problems in some games but yesterday he was not sh1te. He had a thankless task after we lost diakite yet always showed for the ball, used it well more often than not spreading balls and tried to make things happen. Anyone lambasting him for that game clearly has a grudge and will make a fuss whatever and try to blame him or SWP.

Out of interet, have those posters also slated taraabt who was utter garbage in the game. He gave away more poor passes than Barton all season and his shooting was weaker than my 3 year old daughter would manage, and they were just the ones on target. Or Mackie who huffed, puffed and moaned at players who didn't give him the ball yet when he got it did his usual head down kick and run to beat people mostly kicking against their legs.... Kenny has been slated and rightly so, but Onuoha had another dubious display that nearly cost us when he let Dempsey have a free run off him at a FK and shouldve scored.

See the big picture people. Barton was one of our better players yesterday, which doesn't say much it must be said.

it isn't just about yesterday - Barton has been a major let down all season. Yet again comes out this week saying he should be in the England squad which shows he is deluded. He doesn't want to be at QPR, never did - anyone could see that with his behaviour when he came.

He simply isn't very good and I am sure he contributes to a lot of off the filed problems - we certainly have something wrong at the club.

Every club he has left have improved. I am sure that isn't just a coincidence.

Barton did play ok yesterday. I think he was among our three best. He tried to do 2-3 great through passes, but failed. If they had succeeded, he would have been our MOM. Taarabt had a very similar game.

I think calling for Barton to be dropped is pretty *****ic, and I don't think it is wrong to say so.

Btw, everyone saying he has been terrible for team morale... have you seen the videos on QPR World from Portugal? He seems to be getting on really well with the exact players everyone assumes hate him. Hill, Mackie, Derry and co.

                            Good post by Del above.

I get fed up of hearing the Joey knockers. if he got 99/100 passes right, he'd be remembered for the one that got away. Some people should look at his game a lot closer rather than #### him off all the time. He can tackle, pass, and create. He doesn't always get it right, but he does so more often than most in the team.

This is the time we need to back our captain rather than slate him. All of us, club, fans, and players, need to be singing from the same song sheet.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.
