        I used to go to lena gardens school with micheal who runs it now , his and my mum were good friends , still get in there now when i can and its just as good as its always been ,

        Does anybody remember the shops in wandsworth bridge road and vanston place they were pony the spuds were always manky!!1

          like with women ive tasted pie n mash all over london n the south east...............nothing compares to cookes!!!!!! though i must say ive tasted better wenches than the bush has to offer!

            remember the one in wandsworth bridge rd(think it was called Atkins?)..also Taylors in hammersmith broadway opposite the odeon/apollo.

              They had some cased pike on the wall which i bet tasted better than the pies,

                you might know ronnie sargent from grove hammer. he owned sargents pie and mash on golborne road but split up with his missus ruth and she took the lot over and moved onto the small side of portobella and called it c ockneys.top grub. a mate of mine has worked in there years.
                used to be a nice one if you walked on down green street past the ground/away end at w.ham-5min walk or so. not sure if its still there.

                  that would be nathans on the barking rd,not as good as cookes.Duncans opposite upton park station has just closed...I`ve met Ruth she told me years ago she had a pie mash shop there.must give it a try.

                      think there is one in Borough High St,
                      surely,there must be a vacant site somewhere on the Goldhawk Rd they could relocate to,ideally somewhere a bit bigger
                      have to admit,that area could do with tarting up,but hope ap place can be found for a new Cookes
