Tell you what mate, when we signed Joey i was happy as a dog with 2 d**ks, but the more that has gone on, the more i think he is such an outspoken character that,he has just upset the balance around the team.

But it couldv'e been so different ,Didn't Scot Parker text to say he would sign for us if Spur's hadn't made a decision by 12 or was 3pm, if only !

Last season we didn't have the best players in the division, that has become abundantly clear this year. The reason? Last year these players had something special... an unbreakable team spirit, that got them through games that we were losing before.
This season we went into the market as we had to but that has upset the spirit
of last season, because we were too late and needed more in august.
But i do think once we lost that spirit NW couldn't stop the rot, but for me you have to ask yourself did Joey Barton contribute more in a bad way to this club than a good way.I think Warnock will always regret signing him.Just my opinion
I agree with this too! It was inevitable that the team had to change in the Premiership and it was always going to be hard to keep that great spirit up from last season especially when the players brought in were taking starting jobs away from the guys that got us here!

          Double standards surely?

Onuora deserves time to settle in, yet Taiwo it would appear doesn't. Onuoha is about as match fit as Taiwo as he'd also barely played this season before joining and has been arguably responsible for more goals than Taiwo, therefore it's a flawed argument.

Beat me to this comment mate (albeit yours better worded!). Seems, as usual, certain players fit the "scapegoat" category whereas others dont.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Onoura is fitter than Taiwo and tho he hasn't played that often he has been included in City's 1st team squad and is more use to the Premier league .
Maybe I didn't put it clearly enough I have not been critical of Taiwo I have alway's maintained he need's time to settle but he should not have been thrown in untill he had the benifit of a couple of reserve games 1st and chance to shed a bit of wieght .
I dont see how anyone can call it double standard's when I ask for time for Taiwo to have time to get match fit befor being judged
And call for a fitter Onoura to have time to settle befor being judged,if you think it's double standard's please tell me how

Yes you're right something as simple as losing your place to a newcomer or not getting in the 25 has got to have a negative effect on an individual who in turn must have team mates who think it's a harsh decision and so on.

At least Qpr Dave and Loftlag are talking some sense! BTW, sorry about the capitals (I was pissed to be fair) but how many points will we get from the big 6? Remember, we've only 13 games left. I'm going for a respectable 4..one surprise win, and one draw. So I reckon we'll need 12-13 points from the other 7 games. I wish I could see us getting them. I repeat, its going to take a near-miracle now. We should never have been in this position with this squad. Warnock has to take some of the blame, as does Hughes, and that 'Captain' marvel of ours..Mr. Barton. Overall, he has been a huge diappointment.

Bush it should never have come down to us needing to take point's from the big 6 ,
What will send us down is the 6 pointer;s wev'e squandered against the team's around us,Warnock or Hughes both reaped the damage created Short stuff and Fat stuff

Come on Del tell where the double standards were
and you Matty tell how I'm making Taiwo a Scapegoat by giving the opinion he arrived not match fit and HUGHES should have got him fit befor playing him

Was as happy as anyone when we got him but have thought this for a while now, just can't see him being someone that improves team spirit, certainly not a captain.

I wasn't going to bother, but as you ask....

You say Onuoha is fitter because "he's been on the bench for City".... hmm yeah that will get him really match fit won't it. He's less match fit than Taiwo. He's played 2 league cup and 1 sub prem appearance all season before signing for us. Taiwo has played 8 matches for Milan this season 4 in the Champions League and 4 in Serie A, obviously a much higher standard of football.

In the Taiwo thread you said Taiwo shouldn't have been put in to the first team immediately, but he should've had a couple of reserve fixtures first, yet this is not the case for Onuoha, who in your own words, deserves time to settle in, even though he's had less matches this season.....

Add to this the fact Onuoha has been arguably more responsible for goals conceeded than Taiwo.

I would say it's double standards all day long.

I saw the Villa game and the last home game I didn't go to B/burn so can't coment, in both games I saw Taiwo he was carying wieght in both those games he was blowing after a hour my view is he arrived not match fit that doesn't make him a bad player as you seem think I have said, and it goes without saying he need's time to settle as does Onoura simple as that ,
But if it will make you feel better here goes Onoura is Farking useless becouse that's what you seem to be asking for

                              No, not in the slightest.

The point is both are very good players, both are not match fit, both will need time to get match fit and both deserve time to settle in and achieve that. You appear to finally be coming around to that opinion.

They will both prove to be massive assets, along with Diakite imo, assuming we stay up and the two loans become perms.

At the end of the day match fitness is always a vicious circle, they won';t get there unless played in matches, yet when played they then show signs they aren;t match fit. Reserve matched won't cut it either as they don't have anything like the same intensity or quality of opposition. They offer little more than an inter squad practice match.

Thank Christ ,it's taken a lot of typeing this is what I have said all along with regard's to Taiwo my opinion have alway's been more criticle of Hughes than the player in other word's I have infered Hughes had left Taiwo onpen to critism by playing him befor he had the chance to shed a bir of wieght
