Where does the ridiculous idea that NW is almost certain to get a team promoted come from? Fair enough, he had a great first full season with us, but the second was becoming as bad as the first was good. It took him 6 years to get Sheffield United up, before taking them straight back down. And if you remember watching them, you can see why.

          Exactly this.

Maybe Neil could go to Huddersfield now. But as they've just fired a manager who leaves them in fourth place having recently gone on a 43 match unbeaten run of regular games, (play off final defeat excepted), perhaps he is of the opinion that they are not "football people".

Well we are not down yet. The break is MH's big chance now. It will be hit or miss. Win or lose!

I thinks MH is a great choice, but he does not have "time". He has had the luxury of a window and funds - there is no time and there are no excuses.

Martin O'Neill won 6 of his first 9 games with Sunderland with the same players as his predecessor. That made them the Premier Leagues top team for that period. So, new squad, old squad - chosen by the manager, or not - you have to get on with it and take responsibility. Let's see what he is made of before we talk about NW coming back (which he won't).

Why would anyone in their right mind want Warnock back? Oh yeah, i was forgetting about the fans whose footballing genius is gained through playing childrens games on a playstation.

Who said if Warnock come Leeds Manager that he want get them up this season. Who says we going down and if we who says we will not come stright back. God people so neg if anything going wrong they have us down have the problem before we do have it. Got say in the last 4 years we have been lucky most times. Finding someoen to buy us hours before we go broke, then sold to someone willing put his money were his mouth is.

In my view what's done is done, you can't go back it won't work.
Got to go forward with MH and hope he keeps us up don't care how goal diff will do as long as we stay up.Although i will be a quivering wreck if it does go down ot GD.
Not confident we would come straight back up, thought that 15 years ago.

IF WE STAY UP WHICH GIVEN THE LAST TWO GAMES IS VERY UNLIKELY ( REMEMBER THE FIXTURES COMING UP) i WILL BE THE FIRST TO HOLD MY HANDS UP. WE SHOULD HAVE KEPT AND SUPPORTED WARNOCK WHO WANTED LEADERS IN BEFORE NEWCASTLE AWAY. HUGHES AND THE NEW BOYS ARE A LUXURY AT THIS STAGE. 'ARRY WOULD HAVE SEEN US ALRIGHT IF WARNOCK HAD STAYED, AND AT LEAST GIVEN US A REALISTIC CHANCE OF STAYING UP. TRAGEDY IS, IF THOSE CLOWNS HAD SOLD THE CLUB A FEW WEEKS EARLIER AND GIVEN US TIME TO START THE SEASON WITH A REASONABLE SQUAD, WE WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN IN THIS POSITION NOW. BEFORE THE CLOWNS LEFT i COULDN'T SEE US US FINISHING HIGHER THAN MASSIVELY ADRIFT IN 20TH PLACE. NOW AT LEAST WE MIGHT FINISH A RESPECTABLE 18TH (AND HAVE A GENUINELY REALISTIC CHANCE OF PROMOTION NEXT YEAR).

Big mistake getting rid of Warnock...

If we had stuck behind him despite rumours of player unrest we would be doing better. Enuf said. Fernandes is a great bloke but has a lot to learn. Hughes was not the answer, or Kia!
