How can it be right that the 1st team squad are currently on a jolly up in portugal, paid for by the club after chucking in such a lacklustre performance @ blackburn on Saturday, when the majority of the 2,000 strong support who spent good hard earned money watching that **** are forced to work long hours doing jobs they ultimately hate, in order to scrape together the cash to go & support the team on a Saturday ! What's the point to it all ?

    Goodnight !

If that's what you would have preferred you should have been a pro footballer.
But you're obviously not so get back to work and keep it
      Queens Park Rangers
      NPower Champions 2010/2011

PREMIER LEAGUE 2011 - ETERNITY (Oh well got that wrong, we'll be back though)

because if the club took all of us fans on an intensive training camp in Portugal i doubt it would do the team much good or improve our results.

It's not a bloody jolly up ffs....!

MH and his team will be pushing them harder than they've been through all season i'd bet.

I don't think they're on a jolly. They are probably puking their guts up running up sand dunes all day with heavy backpacks. If they then get to do a bit of bonding in the evenings all the better. There are a lot of new faces and with Adel and Traore having been away it will do them good to spend some time together and to get to know each other. They are up against it and anything that helps them pull together as a team must be good as they are going to need to fight for each other in the remaining games.

              Jolly up? Behave.

They've gone away so Hughes can guarantee he can work them hard through the winter period to het them all fit and ready for the Fulham game. Away from all distractions, and to purely focus on the important stuff.

S**t like this is why I try not to post. Try taking a few nights off.

No way a jolly up, hard training and bonding. They have a week in each others company, if at home they would train for 2 hours then have the day to theirselves for a jolly up.

Every big club with respect for them selves in europe go on training camps in warmer places during the winter. Just not very common in the UK because of the winter fixtures. So nothing special about their trip to portugal. The team might even be able to pick out a succesfull pass in our next match because of it. You will see ;-)

Let's hope the club and the supporters see the benefit
I have supported Rangers for 55 seasons, since March 1969.

This is MH's chance to sort things.

He has had a window, he has had some time and still they are not performing. If Martin O'Neil can do it (6 wins from first 9 games and top of form chart) with no new signings, then MH has no excuse. If you look at the difference in performance 1st half to 2nd half - that shows we have the players, it is about organisation, attitude and motivation as well.

If MH says they need this break then we have to let him do it. If it fails, he no longer has any excuse - it is his victory or failure.

Well I think they are taking this opportunity to try and build some confidence in the side and create a better understanding of one and other.

Anyone who thinks MH is prepared to let his squad "have a jolly" when his own reputation is at stake based on whether we survive or not, is seriously misguided!

As mentioned above rather than a couple of hours a day they now have the opportunity to have a prolonged period of time with the squad to really get to know them better, do multiple sessions per day, really focus on certain aspects that need addressing. It will in turn give the players a chance to really get to know each other also, both on and off the field.

Anyone who thinks this is a bad thing is stupid.

Given all the talk of setting up a state of the art training ground, there could also be some powers that be using this opportunity to see what a proper training complex should be like??
