QPR... will we ever be happy?

im not that happy i spent a load of money on a season ticket and have only seen us win 2 league games all season!!!

That's because judging by your joining date you had only decided to come back just as we had been assured of prem football.

Are we the most difficult to please fans? Do we expect far too much for who we are?
QPR have always, as has been said on here, booed one of our own since i can remember.When i first supported the Rs in the mid 70s Don Givens used to be the player "we loved to hate" as i remember a newspaper put it at the time.
We are not a huge club, yet we demand a certain "product", ie, beautiful football, but we had better win as well.We have always loved a character, a player with that something extra, and for years our no 10 shirt had to be worn by this type of player if posssible.
But all in all when you look at it we have never been massively successful.
I have a theory that a reason for fans being so harsh on players especially this season is because we have bought what are looked upon as recognised top prem players and have spent a alot of money getting them, and so we want "the product".
Does anyone think that maybe we are not suited to having ready made star players? We have never spent like this before,.. at QPR we always made them stars, and then ultimately sold them on.Are there clubs like us that maybe will never be a huge club, Pompey tried and well looked what happened, Wigan? Blackburn?.... don't know.. maybe we need to be happy with the progress we have made, and not expect us to compete with the really big boys.

Blimey I don't remember Don Givens ever getting it in the neck from fans back then.
Mick Leach though, I distinctly remember him getting barracked big time, and funnily enough, I seem to remember John Hollins getting stick from our crowd.
You are right though, there has always been the crowd scapegoat.

Bush mate i was very young and going by a newspaper reporter saying these things, as regards Don Givens, i'll try and dig out newspaper clippings. I (perhaps sadly) in some opinionsused to keep any press clippings that were positive about the Rs.

Where I live in Amersham there are quite a lot of QPR fans, when I go in the my local Inn we were saying that the only manger that had the passion and was building a good side at the time was Ian Holloway before the Italians got involved.

I would still love Holloway to come back, he was the only true blue and white blooded manager we had in a long time.

Bottom line.....we have a lot of negative numptys supporting our club,sad but true.I work with a couple.If you told them we're signing Messi and Ronaldo and Bhatia was going to pump £200,000000 on transfers and not want a dime back,they'd still be downbeat and negative.It sickens me to my core with some of our so called 'supporters' they have absolute no understanding of what this word means.All they do is project negativity onto this club we love but they can't see that,and it gives the media and other outlets a field day.It's a pure backwards mentality,that will get you nowhere and all it causes is diversion and misery.......mabye one day these 'fans' will work it out.............
