  • taiwo has played 10 games since he left marsielle

    including 3 for us

maybe he needs a bit of match practice still bit late for that
i supported qpr in the glory days when chris kiwomya and michael ngonge played up front

He will be fine and is getting sharper with every game.

Many great players struggle to adapt to English football at first.

Our attacking has improved and he has been key in that by having quality in his quick, long passing into the front mens feet where there's an option to break quickly, plus he is a constant threat wide and puts good balls into the box..

People have been criticle of him over the 3 games he's played, but playing only 7 befor arriving here ,Hughes has shown an unbelievable lack of judgement thowing him straight into the side

Don't think he had much choice.

Hughes had every choice Taiwo has not performed any better than Hill could have ,
All Hughes Hughes has done is to get mindless people critisising him any player that has 3 if'y games arriving at a new club can have their confidence knocked back a bit

I don't know if I dear to say it, but after Blackburn game I thought he is the worst player I have ever seen wearing QPR orange shirt.

But is it his fault or his manager's fault ? the presure is being put on him to find his feet after playing so few game's ,it would be understandable at the start or earley on in a season ,but this late !

Don't know who's fault it is. Savic has played very poorly in ManC shirt, but he was good against them in European cup. I think it is lack of match fitness with Taiwo and if Hughes thinks that, he is willing to give him games. But because he hasn't played in Italy, he can just be poor now and forever. We don't know yet. I wouldn't let him play yet. Traore is much better LB.

How many has Onuora played out of interest?

Don't know but doubt many more as same situation at a different club. He has also been far from perfect and could be argued at fault for 2 blackburn goals the other day, plus Bents for Villa yet he never gets questioned. He has also offered far less going forward.

They both will settle, the defence will gel and they will both be great for us for years to come I'm sure.

So much for all those wetting their pants with excitement before he signed calling him the best left back in the world, think that could be over stating it a tad!

Were people actually saying that on here?!

i disagree, i am sure ned zelic wore orange once.

i don't think taiwo was that bad....he tries to play to feet and does not hoof like the other options we have at left back are...however i am not sure him and traore in the same team last sat worked for us that well.

i still think the boy will come good. it's not his fault we have screwed up winnable games all season and are now right in the relegation scrap, but what it does do is make the speed of his settling in even more important.
                            come on you r's!

He has 2 assists from 3 games already.

Taiwo was not at fault for any of the Blackburn or Wolves goals. He hasn't cost QPR 6 points from those games.

You could argue that the following players have all contributed to the losses against Wolves & Blackburn:
                              Cisse (red card),
Barton (giving the ball way for Jarvis' goal)
Young for being turned inside out for this goal,
Hall and Ferdinand for crap defending for Yakubu's goal,
Taraabt shooting when passing would have been a better option for Nzonzi's goal also Hall again for not challenging Hoilett for this goal.

FFS, give him Taiwo time to adapt.

We had similar gripes on here about Faurlin 3 seasons ago.
