And that's the point exactly, he was not the only one who could have played that situation better, yet in your earlier post you stated he was at fault for their second goal at least....

The fact is the whole defensive unit was massively at fault in the first half on Saturday, and i don't mean just the back 4, but the midfield also. It was shambolic all round and they were rightly slated by MH.

If the team comes back from Portugal exactly the same as they were before . start looking forward to Ipswich away on a tuesday night. But they have had time to gel now. new players have had time to see what they need to improve on and start performing in the premiership so lets see what happens .

Not to mentioning easily lost ball in the attacking area in their two first goals (Zamora, Taarabt). In my earlier post I did not state that he alone was the fault. It was a reply that he did not put a foot wrong. Concerning ''at least'' I was thinking that maybe he was in a better heading position in their third goal, but he let Ferdinand try. But it may be far-fetched to blame him about that.

So far I have not liked Taiwos contribution at all. He's positioning has been poor and he's not any good header either. Hopefully he will play good after Portugal camp. Hope the camp to be a new pre-season for us and gel the players too.

Agreed that everyone should've done better.

The build up to their 3rd goal was a farce on all counts. Taiwo was best placed to head it and i assume youd've had Ferdinand not jumped for it. At that point Taiwo stopped and let their player get in front of him, and then Ferdinand got nowhere near the ball meaning their player had a free header back across which fell to Hoilett who Onuoha had left in acres of space... for that i personally put the main blame with ferdinand as his shocking judgement for the header was awful and prevented Taiwo clearing the ball in the first instance.

Anyway, things can only get better eh.....
