this is good news for us imo. yes mccarthy is v limited but he has ground out just enough points to keep them up before from just this position so has bags of experience in this situation. unless they have quietly sounded someone out who is a decent manager - and even then its too late for the transfer market - its not obvious that anyone they bring in is going to be any better. much as i love sir neil he is just an older, nicer version of mccarthy. hoddle cd do it but prob wont. maybe some big name foreigner not on our radar? personally think it smacks of an emotional, desperate move by their board - they either should have done it earlier like ours did or stuck with the muppet they had.
