If anything we have gone backwards -- we have replaced the run-through-brick-walls never-say-dies with mercenaries who won't risk their hair-styles for a 50-50 ball. Not that I'm referring to anyone in particular, you understand...
All that means we are no more likely to stay up than if we'd stuck with last season's team (which would have been no less likely to take us back down).

If you and others believe Hill, Derry, Mackie, Smith, Orr (before he left) and any other of our Championship players will get us out of trouble you are in cloud cuckkoo land. It was these players that got us in this trouble most of the time!

Unless Norwich spend big next season, likewise Swansea they will be in a relegation fight, whereas if we survive we would already have the basis of a mid table team and any new additions could push us upwards. Norwich are the new Ipswich and Swansea - Hull.

Our problem is will we survive? Not if we bring back Hill et al.

IMHO, I think the fact that we missed out on them was a huge dissapointment to Sparky as well.
