There was a thread the other day asking where all the money was coming from.... well on £40m which would be an approx income for a bottom ednd Prem club, that could cover wages for over 15 players on £50k / week.... We have nothing like that. Some of the delta from our true wage will cover part of the transfer budget and the rest will be investment by owners.
I don;t think we'll go down anyway, but if we did, the loans would not be made permanent and he parachute money would cover some decent wages, plus if they chose to they could certainly cover any difference in an attemp to bounce straight back.
Anyway, as mentioned i don't think we'll go down. Yes we have a tough run in, but the other bottom teams will play good sides also, and we have a real quality set of players now, and i'd say better than our direct rivals and we'll do better than them.
As for the article, i think it's very good timing. By making such a statement it's trying to take away some of the inevitable pressure the players will feel and in turn allow them to have less weight of burden on their shoulders and hopefully relax and play better.
