  • QPR - 3rd most expensive team to police in London

Just on BBC One. A programme about policing at football.

Millwall were first and the **** were second.

Surprised we were ahead of West Ham and Spurs.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

yes, suprised about that too....how can we be or can different parts of London charge differently - I know they can around the country, but thought London Met would be same all over.

it's all skewed though - it costs more to police roads like Uxbridge, area of Shep. B. than it does to stand guard it tott. loads more underground stations to man, more bus routes etc. up at spurs it's a simple straight road!

                        at a guess

at a guess i would say that the qpr thugs are very good at changing there pubs and locations, also qpr have four differant firms,so im guessing this is the reason why its so expensive to police loftus road

Surely its all to do with the league your in, and therefor the chance of trouble escalates?
Millwall at home would be a high risk in how many games in the championship 5/6?
QPR's return to the prem would see many more high risk games , hence the cost of policing goes up. Im assuming that this is a average price we are talking about?

Maybe the cost was inflated by the police kitting up for Chelsea FA cup like it was going to be a bad day is Syria

I know! I'm surprised they didn't have airport style scanners at each turnstile as well...
