Can't believe we lost. MIght as well have kept Warnock because he is our best bet next year. Assumed we would get 3 points... forgot this is Rangers we are talking about. Lose to Blackburn and there is no way back that I can see. And we have to do it without Cisse and Diakite (that's if he's any good).
Tragedy is if we had started this season with this squad, even allowing for injuries/suspensions, there is no way we would be headed for relegation as we now are.

I'm as gutted and deflated as anyone after Saturday, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. We are still not even in the bottom 3. We've commited suicide on 2 occasions getting a red card and turning a win into a defeat and have had some stupid bad luck along the way, and still above the relegation zone.

I think we'll be fine, although have made it harder for ourselves for sure, mainly by giving Wolves a lift who almost looked certs to drop imo before the weekend. Everyone saying we won't get enough points are suddenly assuming the teams below us will suddenly become great and pick up more.... why exactly when we have strengthened significantly and they haven't?

    Keep the faith.

There is something rotten something broken at the heart of this; I'm trying to be objective but it's eluding me. I feel that even if we had Barca's entire squad at our disposal, as soon as they pulled on the hoops things would start to fall apart. I'm not superstitious but someone has put a hex on us, a spell, a curse and is sticking large electrified needles into us; how did they know we were such masochists...

exactly. i am gutted for the weekend's result and again we managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. however, what it does in reality is make us even more sensitive to what other teams around us are doing - and if we were rooted at the foot of the table i'd be pretty glum but the fact is we're not and all we need to do this season is be fourth from bottom.
        come on you r's!

I think thats half our problem- we turn up and just assume we'll get 3 points at Loftus Road against the 'smaller' teams.

The fact is they have been in the Prem a lot longer than us and know their way around. I knew West Brom and Norwich at home would be tough yet everyone assumed we would get 3 points.

We are in a relegation battle, every point is precious and will have to be battled for. Something we didn't do in the WBA, Norwich or Wolves games.

anyone else think it was all part of Mcarthys's plan on Saturday? Cisse is temperamental and his past injuries are well known. Tell your players to go in hard and give him a "welcome to the premiership" tackle.......if it was a plan it was a damn good one and worked probably even better than expected. If it was a plan then hats off to MM cos that was game saving tactics.

I think he's a poor prem manager, and not a prem manager in reality, who is a bit tactically clueless. That idea you just menitoned though is quite possibly correct. He was a no nonsense player who got stuck in and he keeps referring to "in his day" and all that. Most likley said get into him but don't do anything to get yourself sent off. Probably just to put him off his game and make him constantly look over his shoulder and lose focus, but like you say, the outcome would've been far more than they hoped for...

                We're staying up

As it stands we are NOT in the bottom 3 so its not the end. It is impossible to predict what the results will be in the future - we may lose some games we are expected to win, we may win a few games we are expected to lose.

My point is we don't know so lets stop jumping the gun and chill. I'm sure we will stay up but if we don't, we've come back from worse. How about we all get behind the team and support them (as supporters should). If you are dead set on spouting on about relegation being a given, why not simply enjoy the last few months of being a premiership team. Either way, we need to stay positive - we want our team to play with confidence and freedom - not be scared of making mistakes and having the crowd on their backs.

A solid result against Blackburn and Bolton will put us right back to where we want to be.

The players do even not bother to challenge the second ball properly.

Itīs so annoying to witness really. Not enough fighting spirit in the team ATM.
, thatīs the way I see it,at least.

Yep and half this board think the same for Blackburn, doesn't cross minds, that we are viewed as an easy 3 points too
