Fabio Capello: John Terry is still my England captian
Capello is being very very clever with this.
He won't resign, and the FA asked him to after world cup apparently, and since then he has just been drifting along to see out his very lucrative contract. So unless the FA sack him, he'll be in charge for the Euro's, but either way he will be paid until July. So he might as well test the 'go on then FA, sack me' theory. Genius.
Why would he not say this? He has been employed to win matches and he is meant to have responsibility and trust to pick the team. He should be consulted, informed and have a big say in things like this - weather you agree with them or not. He should not be told to do a job and then have the tools taken away.
Where will it end? Eventually we could get in a situation where anyone who gets in any legal bother or controversy will not be able to play. That would rule out a fair few of our players and even the favourite to be the next manager.
What he's said has blatantly been taken out of context.
Indeed. The translation was inaccurate and various parts of the interview were conveniently omitted. He fully accepted in the interview that ethical matters such as this are outside his remit.

What's the weather got to do with it?

PREMIER LEAGUE 2011 - ETERNITY (Oh well got that wrong, we'll be back though)
It's time for another manager to step in and repair the damage inflicted by Fabio Capello's challenge to the authority of the organisation that, to date, has paid him £24million.
The FA have received the endorsement of Jeremy Hunt, the secretary of state for the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, for stripping John Terry of the England captaincy.
