  • The Run in....

A lot of people going on about our run in and how hard it is.
    Blackburn A
    Fulham H
    Everton H
    Bolton A
    Liverpool H
    Sunderland A
    Arsenal H
    Man Utd A
    Swansea H
    WBA A
    Tottenham H
    Chelsea A
    Stoke City H
    Man City A

So it's 14 games to get roughly 20 points. We currently have 21 points from 24 games.

Cisse's red couldn't have come at a worse time IMO with Blackburn next up and two of our remaining 7 home games coming back to back later this month.

I still think we can stay up- but the bottom line is we need wins, 7 of them.

I don't believe you will need 40 points more likely 36 with the points the others have around us too, so 5 wins required and a draw ! It will be close though thats for sure.

I can only see 20 points out of that lot with a very big push.
4 wins against Everton, Fulham, Stoke, Swansea and draws away against Blackburn, WBA, Bolton and Sunderland.
That needs a large dose of optimism and is probably the very most we'll get.
      More likely around 12-14.
      We're down.

To be honest I'm struggling to see where the points are coming from too.

Remember though there are 5 other teams thinking the same thing. As I said I think it will be close and could be a record low number of points to stay up, unless everyone starts winning games soon.

I think it could come down to goal difference. Also in 24 games the bottom teams have got 16, 18 and 20 points so why do you think they will get 20 points in the last 14 games. If it continues as before they will get 10, 11 and 12 points, so there is not real point in working things out statistically.

Realistically i make 13 points out of that list, so we need a couple of lucky extra wins....
beacause we're a lucky team right now aint we...!

18 from that lot, including draws vs Liverpool, Spurs, Blackburn and Arsenal. However, I wouldn't put it past us to get all three against one of Liverpool, Spurs or Arsenal. Most clubs get at least one decent win vs a Top 6 team and I know we've beaten Chels*ite, but with the team we have, in a couple of weeks we'll be flying.
22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!

There's no point trying to predict the results as there will be shocks along the way.

As mentioned most teams get the odd shock result, and i'm sure once our players settle we will be more than a match for nearly all teams, especially when Cisse and Zamora click, Adel going from strength to strength and a general better quality.

There could be plenty of wins among them, Blackburn, Fulham, Everton, Bolton, Sunderland, Swansea, West Brom and Stoke are all winnable games. They are nothing special by any stretch of the imagination. Most are not far from us in the table, Sunderland's good streak will not last for ever, and they have had some ludicrous luck in this run also, Stoke are sliding a bit etc etc etc....

We could equally not win many of those games as we can't predict incidents like on Saturday... After 30 mins nobody would've said Wolves would win, then Cisse loses it, same against norwich.

I still think we'll be ok, but am personally so deflated after the weekend. Completely gutted we've cost ourselves 3 points and in turn gifted a rival 3 points, and the fact Cisse now misses 3 key and winnable games is just annoying, and for what!

Hopefully Zamora is fit as i think the pairing of him and Adel just off could be pretty useful, also allowing Traore to come back in on the left, SWP on the right there could be goals in there.
