Been trying to stay positive but this is really getting to me now. On paper maybe we should not be where we are, maybe we are not getting that little bit of luck when we need it. However, this is how it is, we are in a dogfight right till the end of the season. Just hoping the other teams around us do not get on a winning run. To have a chance of surviving, especially with the tough end of season fixtures, I think we might have to do the following, at least.

      1. Somehow, get to 30pts after 30 games. 9pts from the next six played, minimum.
      2. Will help if we can at least avoid defeat against Blackburn.
      3. If we hit the 30pts on schedule an average of 1pt a game thru the last 8 games might just see us survive.
      4. Try to get thru a game without a red card !!

Still think this is a realistic possibility, but it has to start next week I think.

Any thoughts out there, am I being at least a little bit realistic ? Trying to convince myself we can still do this !

This season has been agony !

hi ranger mick, dont think i've felt so low after a game, but as my original post, i think we have the ammunition to survive, its not going to be easy but its possible.

I'm feeling quite calm, maybe that cones from a , what will be will be, attitude I thought we were down after the west brom home game tbh

We do have the potential and as long as we have most available most weeks think we will get points against most bar maybe top 3
Thankfully our home games vs the top 6 the right ones , if there is such a thing

I'm either calm cos I feel we're down or calm cos I think we will be ok , I'm leaning towards the latter for now

Your obviously too young to have been at the Oxford league cup final! Of course we're in a dogfight - but its one we surely should win. Be honest - how many of the Wolves squad(or for that matter, Blackburn,Bolton or Wigan), would you swap for ours? Yes,some, but surely you'd say that we SHOULD be stronger. Don't forget that at least SOME time is needed for the new squad to gel - and did anyone consider that the Loftus Rd atmosphere might be strange for OUR new players - could this be a factor behind Cisse's OTT reaction? On the whole, I think we'll be Ok----just.

hi wortonranger, forgot about the milk cup final, but think the drink that day nullified the effect, not young 1st game aged 7 in 1966, young at heart though.

there's a button with "quote" in the bottom right. You just click on that!
I was also at Norwich when we lost 3-2 - that was bad too, but the sheer misery of the Milk Cup can never be beat. Like many others, I have never looked at the programme since, but one good thing is that a work colleague of mine who supports Oxford hasn't got a copy - and I wont let him have it. Revenge!
