Of course we are desperate for a win but not so desperate that we have to sink or plumb such depths... just my opinion and dare say that there will be people who agree with you... laddie!!!!

On MOTD last night I'm sure I heard Adam Johnson mentioned something like 'there is a fine line between diving, and reacting to a perceived challenge'
****** - that was him diving , possibly influenced by his foreign team mates' actions and referees refusing to book players for amateur dramatics

Compared to when I was just watching these ******s doing it to each other, it seems to hurt more when the diving and playacting is aimed at our team now we are in the Premiership

I want us to survive and if it takes some initiative to get us decision that refs don't give us, then so be it.
And yes we are so desperate lad.

Warnock alluded to this some time ago he said our players were to honest for the premiership and need to be a bit more cynical

I still disagree. Can't stand cheating.

Jimmy Smith tried to do it when we loaned him from the s.cum. It might have been his debut? He dived in the area, and half the loft, Q and R block berrated him for it. I thought that was great.

                Cheating ain't for me.

If we can get a good organized skillful team together, it hopefully want be necessary for them to cheat.

I kinda agree, but if Man Utd win the League by 1 point, how important would those 2 dives yesterday be and would actually prove again that cheats do prosper.

But surely the proper solution lies with the FA clamping down harshly on it, retrospective bans and points deductions etc.

Absolutely hate it when almost every time a ball goes out (and sometimes if it doesn't), players from both sides just appeal for the sake of it. It's almost become obligatory.

It's a little different like that. The second wasn't a clear pen, but he did catch him. That much I know. The forst which was given...Well, he went into the back of him, and if you do that in the area, you're always running the risk. That was far more a pen than the one given against us.

Plus, it was against Chelsea, so it doesn't count.

Yes, but it will never happen as the FA are in collusion with the refs.

True. Always backing them publicly, even when they are shown to have been wrong.

What the FA appear too stupid to understand though, is that by retrospective action after the event, they are in fact, helping the referees rather than criticising, as there will be less attempts at cheating and consequently refs getting fooled by the cheats.

I suppose though, that ultimately, FIFA decide what they can and cannot do, so I take back my original comment. There is absolutely no hope of stamping it out.
