Lets not kid ourselves. We're just ONE POINT above the relegation zone and only 14 games to put matters right. We could have lost 4 or 5-1 yesterday and 4-2 at Villa earlier in the week. We've nearly half a new team playing like strangers and we've got away games coming up against other, but improving relegation candidates.OK we lost a man up front yesterday, but thats no excuse for the way we capitulated as we normally do when down to 10 men.
All these new additions, different substitutions and rotations, mean we're not playing week in,week out, with a regular settled side.
I'm getting mighty worried as teams like Wolves (points at Arsenal,Spurs and 3 at LR) and Bolton are starting to improve.BEWARE - lets not get carried away by beating the bottom club Wigan and a lucky point at Villa. If we go down, its far from a formality that we'll do a West Brom and come straight back up.

They are strangers as half of them signed only a few days ago. Its why clubs hate panic buying in January, as it takes time to settle players in, especially the amount we are trying to introduce.

We could have won 5-2 as well even though down to 10 men . Gird your loins people for chuffs sake,

New manager, whole bunch of new players, give them a chance, have you seen Cisse, we now have a team which once properly drilled and familiar with each other will be able to compete against all but the very best in the league.

Simply fact, Cisse stays on and keeps his hands down 2-0, 3-0 to qpr

Er but we didn't and yet again a golden opportunity is wasted. Lets start a league table for games we could have won !

I know we didnt, neither did we lose 5-1 as the OP suggested we could have done,

Too many people on this board appear desperate to dive into the slough of despond. when its not necessary, pop over the the blackburn boards and cheer yourselves up

I'm with you Hampshire, apart from superb long range efforts from Adel,Wolves played us off the park in the second half,I lost count of the times we cleared the ball off the line and blocks by Kenny, and the same goes for the Villa game.
