it's been 13 years since Fulham, Blackburn and Bolton the 3 promoted teams survived after promotion to the premier league, the only time it's happened.
Well lets hope it's lucky 13 because at the moment of the 3 teams promoted 2 look safe and unless Diakte is Yaya Toure in disguise then
we are in the Shite.

Central midfield is a disaster area. What do we have Barton, Buzaky, Diakte and Derry perm any 2 from them and what do you get ?

I think Hughes saw that yesterday by trying to play Traore in there he's also tried SWP.

Central midfield might become a strong area after Diakite arrives. I'd also consider playing Adel in there as well. He's shown he's willing to do a lot more work than people give him credit for.

Add to that Barton and Buzz, and it's not as bad as we think. Plenty of options.

Blackburn and Bolton have stayed up but have struggled most years. If we do stay up, I really do not want to spend every year hoping we stay up the next year.

What does anyone know about Diakte if he is as effective as taiwo well!
Barton cant get a grip of midfield he has his moments but losses the ball too often in dangerous positions something we slaughter Adel for.
Buzaky on the Ball is great but injury prone.

Barton doesn't have the legs to get a grip on midfield, hence when paired with Derry who also struggles pace wise we look vulnerable through the middle. By the way i do know Diakte can play centre back also, in fact i think he started there.

Perhaps it's a job for Mackie, Energetic,hassles, quick and doesn't need to pass the ball too far. Or am i just getting desperate.
