  • Barton, Kenny and Tarrabt

I need to admit been wrong on two of these but spot on the other.

Tarrabt- Best player today kept his shape very well and looked a real threat. Extremely unlucky not to score and looks like he will play an important part in our season. Have to admit I was wrong to doubt him.

Barton-Always defended him on here but beginning to think he is not up to it, at a time when we need him most. Gave the ball away for their first goal and did little else in the game. Creates very little, light weight and lacks pace.

Kenny-Sorry but been saying it for ages is a very average goalkeeper. Glued to his line and does not look as fit as last year hence slow to get down. First goal was neither in the corner nor curled inside the post, he was beaten by a shot a yard inside his far post because he was slow to get down. Second goal the same beaten by a shot 3 yards of the post. Never seems to save anything he shouln't and might be a real issue going forward now the window is closed.

You are right that Kenny has faults that arent so obvious when watching but there was never going to be any point in rocking the boat much by replacing him, Wolves seem to have the worst keeper in the Prem.

Tarrabt was easily our best player, Barton our worst, and Kenny needs replacing, and I can't see the point in Hulse,

I think you're Harsh on Kenny 1st goal from memory seemed well placed shot and the 2nd
was from close range hidden by a defender, amongst a defence btw that was getting totally swamped in my view and were falling back on the goal. Just my opinion

My god what match have you seen....yes taraabt was good in the second half so perhaps he gets the MOM, but barton the worst...not in a million years....Derry was a lot worse but not the worst....that was Young....cost us a goal and let them past him several times.
Kenny is not good with the defensive type of football we play because he cannot do anything to help his defense always grounded when a high cross comes in. But we have no better among the sub keepers.

I must admit Ricky that looking at that second goal he was no where near quick enough onto it,soft goal,i kind of think he is too small and lardy now, just my opinion.

Where did I say Barton was the worst player. We know Derrys limitations but with Faulin out we needed Barton to step up and he simply hasn't. If you make yourself as high profile as he does then you are setting yourself up to be shot at and have to perform. He simple doesn't and after defending him have simply had enough. Poor decisions, light weight, no pace and gives more than his fair share of the ball away.

I think Paddy felt firmly secure under Warnock. I don't think he feels as safe in the No.1 jersey now and he appears unusually hesitant and indecisive to me. Not alarmingly so, I just feel he's lost a tad of confidence and that's affected his game by 10%.

Considering Barton is a one man midfield he did pretty well..derry is a complete waste of space.

                  Boy do we miss Faurlin

Taiwo looked like a man with concussion. We were playing with 9 men.

I don't think Kenny was playing too well before Hughes arrived. I think we have only just started noticing it.

Think Kenny's issues go a little deeper than that. Think last year he was protected a lot more than this year and did make some crucial saves but you have to ask yourself why at his age he was never snapped up by a prem team previously. Gets away without criticism because he rarely makes any real clangers but never seems to save anything he shouldn't. Needs to work very hard for the rest of the season on his fitness or it could cost us.
