  • Joey Barton on Twitter.... talking about John Terry

"This John Terry saga, has turned into one of the most hideously managed spectacles I have ever known. WTF is going on......

We all know what was said. Its there on TV for all to see. Do I think hes a racist? No.

I think hes said something really stupid in the heat of battle/argument. This should of been dealt with instantly (Like Suarez or more games) and put to bed.

The longer it goes on, the worse it is for the game. Racism needs to be stamped out. We all agree on that. This is now affecting England as well as those involved.

I dont a f*cking man and took his punishment for what he said. This is now helping nobody. The one I feel for is Anton, hes done nowt wrong and has.

Once the issue went out of the FA's control, it was always going to get messy. They should have dealt with it instantly. Now its a farce..

Should of thrown his hands up and admitted his grave error. Excepted his deserved disciplinary action and let everyone move on.

Whose the winner in all of this? I cant think of anyone....can you? What a debacle its turned into. Sad state of affairs. Heads should roll.

I am fuming for my teammate Stan. For 6 months, he has to carry on dealing with this situation when hes done nothing wrong"

"I'll probably get a letter now from "the powers that be." If you're reading this don't bother........."

Much as I agree with him, that is a very stupid thing to be talking about on Twitter, and could prejudice the court case. Don't think the courts or the FA will take too kindly to that. Don't think we'll see JB on Twitter for too much longer.

How could it prejudice the case?

The FA can't deal with it because the Police got involved as a criminal case, the FA can't do anything until after the legal case has finished.

If he is not involved in the case then what he has to say will hold no sway.

I thought that too but many journalists on Twitter are telling him to stop talking, he is making a big mistake by speaking out... a few have gone on to say he's breaking the law..........

Oh I dont know, everyone getting very excited on twitter tonight.

Indeed, and if Terry HAD put his hands up and admitted it then the Police case would have definitely found him guilty and he would have been stripped of the captaincy anyway. He is in a lose-lose situation really (and rightly so).

We all know what he said though, it's just a matter of time before justice is served.

The thing I don't get about any of this is WHO actually reported the original incident to the police? They would never have got involved if it hadn't been for that.

                    AFAIK:

                    It wasn't QPR FC

                    It wasn't Anton Ferdinand.

Was it a QPR fan at the ground or someone who saw the video, or someone just trying to cause trouble (if so they've certainly succeeded!)

As far as I can tell that's the only thing thats caused it to drag on and on for so long.

I'm no lawyer so i have no idea how the authorities will view Barton claiming Terry is guilty however if Terry is now found not guilty wouldn't that mean that JB could then be in trouble ?

I just wish he would just keep his mouth shut and concentrate on staying focused for tomorrows must win game but he cant help himself, he loves the attention that being controversial gets him...
                            We got our Ranger's back!

Joey Barton's crimes are far worse than John Terry's. Yup string me up for saying that on here, but the bloke is a vile human and to then spout off about everyone else is ridiculous.

People let their club loyalties blur truth.

On top of that, he and half the radio pundits, don't seem to understand that this is a CPS issue, not an FA issue at the moment, so "owning up" or the FA charging him early are not even relevant.
