gorman mentioned on qpr player that he expects 1 or 2 more signings before the end of the transfer window so i would guess that is Lb and a St (going by what players we have been trialing)

but he did also say we have already brough in a couple of players (i thought is was only 1)

Well said, hopefully this is the end of it. I'm mean seriously does geejaybee think the powers that be haven't identified Beckford as a target.

What does he think pestering Paladini is going to achieve...we are now going to sign Beckford??? WTF

All he has done is made himself look like a peanut, basically telling someone else how to do their job. Just had a similar thing happen at work, some daft admin bird who forms part of the team who will populate the building I'm managing the construction off visiting site telling us she wants a wall built in an open planned office area. I tell her no, she whines 'but all you have to do...' I tell her listen love this building has been constructed to an approved design, if your input was required we would have consulted you at the indicative design stage 3 years ago. I don't tell you how to do your job, so you don't tell me how to do mine.......Now be a good girl and go and put the kettle on

Wembleyranger you have a very unhealthy obsession with geejaybee's opinions ;D on a serious note i was there when geejaybee spoke to gianni not as someone trying to tell him how to do his job but as a concerned fan who wants the best for Qpr gianni mentioned that we have been in for Beckford but as for every one we go in for the price gets over inflated becouse of our backing which is wrong
Dyslexic so please don't feel the need to correct my spelling mistakes as I really don't give a **** and before you say use spell checker if it is spelt right / wright but not in context spell check is useless

All joking aside I do find geejaybees obssession with Beckford over the top and waving Beckfords stats under GP's nose is a bit much.I understand his concern as a fan but he doesn't look at the situation logically at times. I'm not sure I'm buying into this whole price gets inflated line either. We have done nothing in the transfer market which would suggest we would ever pay over the odds for a player so why would every team over inflate the price?

The clubs transfer policy up to now would suggest that no large transfer fees will be paid and expensive loans, top end CCC free transfers and players with 1 year or less on the contracts are what we are only interested which makes sense if you think hopw much money has been spent on improving the infrastructure of the club. Small gates and large transfer fees don't work in the CCC its too much of a risk for a club our size. So we go and spend £4 million on Beckford and 25k a week on wages....then what if we don't get promoted, or he just doesn't do the job.

Transfer fees that size just wouldn't balance the books for us, we wouldn't come close. I honestly believe one of the main reasons our ST prices are so high is for this reason and if we are to compete whilst ensuring the financial stability of the club is in place this is the line we must go down.

Makes sense. but we will never be self-sufficient with a 19,000 capacity stadium............we need to grow.

QPR will not be spending any more money on signings, other than a smallish fee for Pellercori The other signings will probably be Vignal and perhaps Marshall.

QPR have signed two players i.e. Faurlin & Taarabt.

I agree that Mittal is not likely to invest any more money in the club unless he gets a bigger stake in it. Why should he if FB is going run the club like a dictator (albeit, one that has invested quite heavily)?

I think FB realy messed up last season, because QPR should have won promotion and perhaps would have with the proper investment in players such as Watson, Routledge (earlier) and Eagles, along with signing a goalscorer.

Signing the above would have cost just a bit more than all the money spent on transfer, loan & signing on fees, plus wages for Parejo, Ledesma, Tomassi, Miller, Helgusson, Cook & Lopez, but would have earned the club more money by playing in the Prem this season instead of another in the CCC.
