yeah there should be sum money to spend, but once again they aint gonna do it. being called a rich club is embarassing when u cant even compete financially with teams in the 2nd tier... lol. i think we might have to settle with what we got.

if mittal was more involved i feel more money would be spent. he only owns 20% so he will only ever put in what he can take out. business men don't get all that money by throwing it away

Theres still over a month left so I wouldnt rule any more signings out just yet. Pecallori isnt official yet remember.

Couldn't agree more, but he's gone very quiet recently apart from his son in laws well publicised charity raising exploits, perhaps they're not as keen as they first made out. What about the sponsers this season or is it time to get the buckets out again?

            Can't wait...

As has been said, until Mittel is given a serious slice of the cake he clearly isn't going to invest. no inside info but my hunch is flavio hoped he cd use mittel's money while he remained in charge. mittel soon disabused him of that, so now they have reached a stand off with no one prepared to invest.

I also had the pleasure of meeting Nuffield from WATRB.I was amazed not more WATRB members went for the VIP offer tonight of car park,3 course dinner before kick-off programme, team sheet,VIP seat in stand, coffee and cakes at half time and back to the bar at full time all for only £30.
u really should stop going on about beckford

              its getting quite boring now

even GP has had his dose now

personally feel sorry for GP having the pleasure of meeting u and listening to u whingeing about us signing beckford

give it up fella it aint gonna happen

it never was and never will

I tend to agree with you there. The LOGICAL solution would therefore be to sell Mittal a bigger stake in the club, allowing him more incentive to invest in the squad. Somehow I sense that Flavio's ego would get in the way of that happening...at least for the time being. It seems theyre learning how to run a CCC club but only VERY SLOWLY.

remember all flavio wants to do is make money. if he sells some of his shares to mittal he will not earn as much. the real money comes from premier league football. he wants to get there by spending as little as possible.

That kind of short-sightedness is probably why Mittal is a billionaire and he's a mere millionaire ;)

We've got one of the highest wages payroll in the division so not so sure about the us not competing bit - just need to buy better players for the wages paid rather than dishing out long contracts to average players on high wages...
