2011-2013, 2 seasons in the Premiership, 76 games, 14 wins........two years of my life I'll never get back!!
2013/2014 mediocrity topped off with a win at Wembley....
2014/2015 was pretty much the same as 2011-2013.....
2015/2016, average at best.....
2016/2017, same old, same old....
2017/2018, aim low, avoid disappointment!
Its the hope that kills you!

As I said before, Buzz is better suited in the 4-4-2 than Adel. Not saying I think Buzz is the better player, but he gives us more balance in the middle.
I can see Adel coming on later in the game for Cisse, and playing just behind Zamora, but that's about it. I'd much prefer Traore on the left wing than Adel, and regardless of how some feel he's performed, I'd rather SWP on the right than Adel. He is not a winger. It's that simple.
If Ali was fit, I could see Adel working well in this formation...
---------------------Kenny-------------------
--Young-------Anton------Onuoha------Taiwo
-------------------Diakate-------------------
-------Barton----------------Faurlin----------
-------------------Adel----------------------
------------Cisse----------Zamora-----------
Other than that, I can't see where he fits.
Whether people like it or not, the days of playing a formation to sui him and Adel coming and going when he wants, are gone and as it appears we will be playing 4-4-2, with people playing to instructions, the only position (and Adel's best position IMO) is up top with or behind Zamora or Cisse. This presents another problem for Adel, as although MH's said he has lots of strikers and will use all of them, his number 1 partnership is Cisse and Zamora, which somewhat closes the the one logical place for Adel to play. Our best RW is SWP, our best LW is Traore and our two best CM's will be Barton and Diakate, so where will Adel get a squeeze ?
The longer Adel does not get a game, the more he will strop and the more he strops, the further down the pecking list he will go......................Last edited by paulmason; 03-02-2012, 10:50 AM.

Make me laugh, Buz instead of Taarabt, crazy
That team I put up there oozes class, but Ali is as key to that as Taarabt is. Without Ali, that formation won't work well. At very best, I'd give him a few starts on the right, but I still don't see how that will benefit him as a player. Once again, I know he has bags of skill, but playing him on the wing is as bad as playing SWP on the left.
I hope I'm proven wrong, but that's how I see it.Your mum would love me...

You aint going to know how well he plays in them positions if it aint tried out with this new team
I'm sure Taarabt can adapt to what Hughes wants from him
Last time I watched Buz he was huffing and puffing and struggling, great corners and freekicks but need lots more then that if your going to be an all round Prem player

As for OP - Think Adel will feature in the starting XI. he's got some growing to do still and if he allows himself to be managed he'll be more than the player he way.
He's improved vastely in mind opinion since NW started dropping him. shows to be he's learning and is prepared.

How do you know he wont ?
No one knew who Yohan Cabaye, Cheick Tioté and Demba Ba were at the start of this season.
I hope he is going to be the nuts but you cant just dismiss Buzz and Derry and say this new blokes better as youve never seen him play and hes never played in this league before.

I was reading reports from the ANC tournament and they were saying Taarabt has gained weight and lost fitness. Can anyone confirm if this is true? Also agree with what a lot of people are saying here. Taarabt could never play CM as he doesn't ever challenge for headers! Him and Zamora could work well but will they ever start together?Estamos QPR

It was not an argument, that is where there was a question mark.
Also, it is a very fair point to mention Cabaye, Tioté and Demba Ba as they were no ones, playing French footie this time last season.
