I don't know the short answer but what I would say is ...

The likes of TF , AB and PB are some of the most astute and well connected business men in THE WORLD.... not just W12 , London , England etc and trust me they are not doing what they are doing without heavy financial baking in the background ( Laksmi Mittal and Far East/Asia investment )or a watertight business plan ....

I would imagine they have all had to put there own hands in their pockets in order to buy the club and the recent transfer activities we have seen in order to stay in the Prem and to then push on to the next level .... a sort of sprat to catch a mackerel !!

It is this next level where they will look to push QPR globally , new stadium integrated with leisure , hotels , shops ( similar to westfield or trafford centre) .

PB has maintained that this season is the most important one to maintain our PL status but if we do then I think there are some exciting times ahead for us .....These guys are big , big players and they don't do failure !!

    I Hope !!!

I was thinking that as I read it, silly sums of money to run a football club these days!

His figures don't include gate receipts either which is a huge Part of a clubs income.

              Thoughts and points.
Sky money is £40mill for finishing 20th, escalating by £1m for each higher position, so if we could finish 10th it is £50 mill. So the difference between 10th and 15th is Zamoras fee, in theory?

Less than half of our wage bill is at prem level, so I don't think its more than about £35mill. Plus a big clearout is coming at the end of the season depending on our position.

Parachute payments will give us a big advantage to bounce straight back if the worst were to happen, like West Ham and Birmingham should.

Gate money is around £1mill for each home game, so £19 mill.

Additional TV money for live games, around £0.3 - £0.4 mill each.

Against all the above is the cost of new training facility, and talk of our new stadium ! It is mind blowing, but we are clearly seen as having huge potential by our owners.

Makes me laugh how promotion was worth at least £90mil over next 4 years so basically us and all other teams in division are guaranteed that sum BUT we get qusetionned for actually spending the flipping cash???? Big issue for me is why are the other teams so boracic or in the red or not spending????

The numbers mentioned are pretty mind blowing- with our attendances it just doesn't seem to make sense. But to be fair TF, PB and Amit are not stupid so they will have a plan.

Reading that makes you realise how massive survival is for us now.

Only at QPR would the fans demand reassurance that the board isn't spending too MUCH.

I wouldn't have thought our numbers differ too massively from lots of other clubs except our gate receipts will be a notch lower. Virtually ever club has a considerable running loss but plenty of rich men still seem to want to buy a football club, which pushes up a club's value. I'm not sure I fully understand the economics of football and it wd not surprise me in the least if it all comes crashing down one day. But after 15 years living in a council house unable to pay the electric I'm quite enjoying life in the mansion with the servants and Rolls Royce. So for now at least am going to put my trust in TF and AB and enjoy the football they have very kindly provided for us.

I don't agree that our gate money lags too badly. Half the teams in division sell STs at a third the rate of ours and charge 50%-40% less for matchday tickets.
Over a season I'm pretty sure our matchday revenue is at least on a par with say, Everton's and way way more than likes of Blackburn or Bolton.

good point on season ticket prices. plus - we've got a sell out every game - which is up there with utd/chelsea. even newcastle don't sell out all games. only issue is is the likes of utd had just a 40% gate receipt...still more than LR!

figures are astronomical...but as mentioned...these are BIG businessmen involved...with successful businesses already established. they can play the markets well.
