Big interview today with Terry Phillips. Interesting quote from him

Terry Phillips:
Wayne didn't help himself when he drove away from Vale of Glamorgan Hotel without a word to Dave Jones or his team-mates.
But he has spoken to players since - he rang Michael Chopra and others - and said he wants to come back.
He is unhappy at QPR and they know it. If Rangers don't ask too much money I'm sure Cardiff City would be interested - now that he has, apparently, apologised and said he really wants to come back.
Personally, I believe he is a fantastic player at Championship level. His pace will frighten defenders.

This terry philips should be more careful about what he says. If Wayne did want to come back to u (which is highly unlikely & would be very expensive given the length & value of wayne's contract) then I doubt he'll be too pleased to hear that his old Cardiff team mates have been going round telling people the details of private conversations.

Personally think Routledge may have been unhappy after Sousa left but sounds like he is up for it now after a few pre season games.

Didn’t Gareth say before he joined us there was no chance Routledge joining us because he’d just bought a house in South Wales? He hadn’t and he still joined us.

Gareth has been constantly trying to wind-up the QPR fans ever since it was rumoured he’d be coming to us. He’s still at it afterwards. Nothing he has said has proved to be true yet some of you still believe him. Only last week wasn’t he supposed to be signing for Cardiff? He still went to Croatia and he’s been playing in all the friendly games, then and now.

So, he’s obviously part of Magilton’s plans for the season. There is nothing coming from QPR hinting that he is unsettled. He has a lot of mates at QPR from his Palace days. He’s well paid and unlikely to get anything similar at Cardiff so let’s give it a rest.

Now Routledge actually as the freedom of playing on the wings, he is looking good and like his old self. Think, we may have knocked his confidence last season, but he is loooking sharp in preparation for the new season
