Why all the surprise?

This is a country that, quite rightly too, jails a checkout girl for stealing 10k, and yet deems it "inappropriate" to even make an attempt to prosecute a fatcat banker who stole £1.4million, yes, £1.4million.

It's listed for a 5 day trial ffs. The main basis of the stay was that several of his witnesses are unavailable due to match commitments. That is absolute pony as the timetable can be fixed to accommodate them giving evidence. Terry's commitments on the other hand ought not to have been given an iota of consideration.
It's a disgrace. Oh, and no single one of his witnesses can say he didn't say it because clearly he did.
How can the twunt enter a not guilty plea in the first place!!!!!!!!!!

you can have a row at football and get up to 3 years(for posturing/throwing shapes etc) and a banning order up to 6 years!!! but riot/break into shops/rob them and set light to them as well as throw bottles/stones/petrol bombs at the police and you get 6 months or suspended sentances!!!! justice me a rse....
