My thoughts on today....

Alright. I would have taken a point before the game, but when you have 2-0 and it becomes 2-2 you're rarely satisfied. We moved 1 point away from the relagation zone. My thoughts on Macheda are fairly simple; send him back. He's awful! I would prefer Rob Hulse over him and by then you don't need to say no more. Cisse; what can I say? What a striker, that touch past Dunne, made him look like a conference player. Zamora+Cisse will be deadly for any team in this league. The reason why we lost our midfield today is simple, Derry tonight proved to be uncapable of the pace of the BPL. Which is sad because I really like him and deeply respect him from the NPC days. We lacked our Faurlin tonight. The whole back four looked good tonight, since we were under much pressure we have them plus Kenny to thank we nicked a point. When Samba Diakite arrives we can push Barton just a tad more centre midfield and he can use his creative abilities 100%.
After tonight I am very confident that we will stay up.

agree with much of that tho in fairness to derry he is what he is, always puts in the effort and there was no other options tonight. hopefully will only be a sub at most in future, great servant tho he has been.

Yep. Next season Faurlin, Diakite and Buzz will be in front of him. Thats the depth we've been looking for.

Derry wont be here next season not a chance. But fair play to him for his effort in the NPC .

Yeah Diakite is definitely the most important signing for me, if turns out to be a decent playing we will have a really strong side, if not then it's such an important area of the field we will still struggle a bit! Think Hughes has done a good job in a short space though and I expect us to kick on now!

agree with some of the op apart from....the back four comment. the two full-backs were very average at best imo. young got caught out of position far to much and just launched the ball down the line when in trouble and the new left back looked like he has never played at this level before....i know he needs time to bed in and i'm sure he will turn out to be a good addition.
