Sousa 25% We only lost 11 or so of his game in charge though just goes to show how people can manipulate statistics

Harford 12.2% - Worst manager in recent history

And Holloway had most of his games a lower level.

Not a true comparison at all.

        According to Wikipedia

        Sousa 25 games, 5 wins=25%

Holloway won 100 games out of 252.. Maybe you should a avaitor of Holloway

Sometimes, I think you just want to read you want to and don't take notice of actual stats when they stare you in the face

          You did make them up

          Matches 26 won 7 drawn 12 lost 7 per 26.9 %

So we were undefeated in 19 of his 26 games not bad IMO

Probably best not to use Wiki, you open yourself up to inaccuracy accusations.

Holloway was here for 5 years!!!!

Hardly a fair, or relevant, comparison!

Holloway's first 4 months (same time as Sousa had) resulted in relegation.

How many games did Waddock get? Gregory? Including John Hollins or Dowie's 100% record as caretaker? or Ainsworths?

Your analysis, whilst well intentioned, doesn't bear any relevance in this instance whatsoever Pete or illuminate your viewpoint.

I would love to elaborate on the argument, but running out of time.

Alan Mullery won 11 games out of 26

Sousa's record from 26 games is worse.

Maybe, I should have an avaitor of Alan Mullery? The guy is regarded as the worst manager of all time, yet his record compares favourably with Sousa

(though have to admit cannot remember Mullery winning that many games) Again wikipedia

No-one can take this fact away, we had play-offs within our grasp, and this rubbish about the sqaud not being good enough is old hat. We failed.

We move on and this season we will do much better.

Martin O'Neill has a win ratio at Aston Villa of 36.3%

                        Is he a bad manager?

We were undefeated in 73% of Sousa's games in charge.

                        Not bad eh?

Statistics, statistics can hoist anyone by their own petard!

Mullery - exciting but the players hated him. We weren't in too bad a league position when he got the boot.

what is the point of this?

                          no really,what?

statistics can be twisted any which way to prove a point.

How many goals per game did we concede,on average, under Sousa?

                          some sort of record...????

But so what-he has gone-we move on.

I'm not having anyone defend Mullery.

He was the worst manager, BAR NONE, we've ever had.
We don't see things as they are, we see them as we are...

The squad wasn't good enough - 3 managers couldn't get them there how much more evidence do you want - remove the blinkers....

Personally I think we are in for more of the same this season - we'll see next May...
