Le 4 octobre 2011, suite à la blessure de Karim Benzema puis celle de Kevin Gameiro, il est convoqué pour la première fois par Laurent Blanc pour affronter l'Albanie et la Bosnie-Herzégovine. Il est d'ailleurs chaleureusement accueilli à son retour au Stade de France, rentrant sous une ovation du public pour le dernier quart d'heure de jeu face à l'Albanie.
On October 4 2011, following an injury to Karim Benzema and then Kevin Gameiro, he was called up for the first time under Laurent Blanc for the matches against Albania and Bosnia-Herzegonia. He received a warm welcome for his return to the Stade de France, receiving a public ovation when he come on for the last quarter of an hour against Albania.Comment
