w12 has it spot on. wouldnt play mahon at home full stop. but he is perfect for ugly away games. get the feeling legs just dont wana play rb,but against reading he was unbelievably good,seriously! he done more good in that 90mins than ramage done all season, and that is not a dig at rambo,cos i like him alot and he got better with each game as his confidence grew. for me tho, legs would be rb ahead of rambo all day long. Also think legs is ok at cm, very good for breaking up play, and breaking down attacks, but his passing is awful, gives away possession too cheaply, too often.

In his "A" day I would go with Mahon, but, he is getting older and very slow, you can tell that his weight and his legs are begining to show..... and he will be worse this season.

So for that reason I would stick with leightwood as he has years ahead of him.

Difficult choice both have their qualities but if I had to then Mahon because he puts a lot of effort in more of the time.

im going for mahon as well. They both have good and bad points, but at the end of the day, we are strong enough going forward in midfield, but defensively mahon is better. He is a good leader, keeps it simple, his passes are generally accurate, he gets the odd goal, and hes strong. Hes very reliable and you dont really see him put a foot wrong in games. People just have some crazy idea that hes not good enough, just because hes not the quickest of players. Legs can be excellent on his day, but in general, mahon is far more consistent, and legs can tend to give the ball away far too easily

Hardly out of position as such. Yes, his prefered position is defensive CM, but he's played at RB and CB several times during his career. RB is a very affective position for him.

In answer to the question...Leigertwood all day. He has far more stamina, far better at tackling and can fill more than one position. Mahon is very much your steady eddy, but will never really see a MOM performance from him, whereas I'd have given Legs MOM at least 10 times since he joined the club.

Legs is also able to add more goals for us and some absolute screamers.

What I can't understand is why Mahon got booed yet there seems to be a lot of people on here showing him support and fair play to all of you for doing that.

It's a good shout to say he should be used in the tough away games as that's when he's needed most or to be brought on in home matches when we're seeing out the last 20mins the odd goal up.

Think in home matches I'd like to see magilton go for a more attacking look to the side and play buzsaky and rowlands/faurlin in the middle on the park with taarabt on the left, routladge on the right and two up front, leave Mahon out and rest him up so he is fresh for the next away game, legs on the bench so he can come on if needed at center midfield or right back.

Can't see Mahon leaving before his contract ends as nobody is going to match his 10k a week wages
