we all had very high expectations with Parejo and Ledesma before last season, neither could adapt to this league, why do you think this guy will be any different?

Ill give any player a chance, no point in judging him just because others have failed. Just £3.4mil seems a bit steep for a player like Fuarlin who was playing league 2 stuff in Argentina

On the face of it, no lessons learned. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

No left back, trying to bring in right backs to play left back - selling your young top goalscorer and yet to bring in a replacement (Taarabt is not a striker - he may be in his own imagination, but clearly not in reality and the Italian is, to be polite, unproven). Even considering David Connolly, Caleb Folan and the Slovenian triallists just smacks of a lack of professionalism and organisation and a sorry indictment of the clubs transfer and scouting policy (which, despite all the talk all close season evidence still firmly points to "who does Gianni know").

          Playing side desperately needs sorting.

On the non playing side. Much improvement and much learned. Ticket prices down and clarified, open days, accessible etc etc...........

            No they have not.

            1. We have an unproven manager that tinkers and plays his best players out of position, so we will underachieve, Fact.
            2. We still do not have a decent left and right backs, we play centre backs in those positions, Fact.
            3. We still lack a decent striker that will fire you up to the top of the league, Fact.

            So overall, no.

                    Simples.

The board interfered with management and created an unworkable atmosphere for any self respecting coach.

JM and JG come in stating that they will be their own men.

Then the BOARD offload Dex, Camp and Delaney before they have even played under the manager.
Then some travelled Italian appears in the squad.

                    Are they still interfering?

                    Hmmmm, let me think...

I think the ticket pricing is a lesson learnt, let's be honest without all the fuss from the fans there's not way the prices would be what they are now. The pay on the day ones that is. ST's still a little pricey but chicken and egg re: getting money in etc

Magilton remains to be seen. Stinks a little of desperation, if we were that ambitious we could have gone and got Sven or a manager of his ilk, he would have preferred LR than Notts County!

It still baffles me how anyone can think a strikeforce of Aygemang and Helguson would win the chamionship, afterall if you want promotion you have to strive to win the league. Full backs as mentioned above, we don't have any, only CB's being played out of position!

Overall it has not improved drastically. We MIGHT get lucky if the likes of Buzsaky stay injury free though. If we get top 6 the board will say "told you so" or words to that effect but it'll be because of key players staying injury free and in form.

No....The needs are simple and clear....We have possibly the best midfield in the league......we've got as good a pair of centre backs as anyone else in the league and our keeper was joint Golden Gloves last season.......what's left?? We all bloody know so why doesn't the club??

                              but come May 2010

if we are in the top 2 or even the play off Final

but if we're not....................well you know the answer to that already

I think it's us as supporters that have learned the most from last season, we all got caught up in the hype and the spin the board put on us about this new era.

This season we shouldn't think it's our god given right to be in the playoffs or challenging the top two like we did last season, we all got on dowies back from the off coz we thought we deserved a big name manager and dowie wasn't good enough for our club.

We got fed aload of spin on how ledesma and danni p were gonna be the best thing since sliced bread and I myself was guilty of getting caught up in all this hype and even brought a ledesma t-shirt!

We came to matches expecting to win every game 3-0 and when we wasn't scoring or missing chances we all got restless and that showed at home games, the booing of gavin Mahon on live tv with the rest of the country watching was shocking. We gave our own players some terrible stick last season Mahon, blackstock, cerny, ramage, helguson all got dogs abuse at times.

                                1) The lessons us as fans have to learn from last season is to first don't get caught up in what the board tell us, take all they say with a rather large pinch of salt.

                                2) lets back the manager, I admit he wasn't my choice but he's here now so lets let him know where behind him, if we're 3-0 down or 3-0 up.

                                2) lets back the players and let them know we're backing them, not just the favorites lets encourage the likes of ramage, helguson, Mahon, agyemang, borrowdale to give them the confidence that they need to play well.

                                3) lets not ask too much of the likes of faurlin and pellicori and give them time to settle and adjust to life in the championship, I hope not to see faurlin limited edition t-shirts on sale in the club shop by the end of august but a player on the pitch putting in good performances and improving with each game.

Lets just not expect so much and back the team and manager and we might just get a whole lot more back in return
