Look at the ambition Forest are showing......

Notts County [89th in the league last seson].........2
      Notts Forest [spent millions]...............................1

It not as easy as it seems.

We need a striker. Nothing negative in my statement, just realism. Good strikers normally score goals. Good wide men and midfielders provide the good striker with chances to score lots of goals. All very obvious but unless Balanta matures 5 years in a month, Helguson suddenly gets super fit and loses 5 years in age we won't go up without the additon of a decent championship striker at his peak.

          We have strikers.

We need chances. Which we will get this year as we hopefully won't have Mahon and Legs being unable to pierce defences with their guile.
We don't see things as they are, we see them as we are...

THE FORWARDS WE HAVE WILL GET 50 GOALS ARE YOU MAD, that is the most stupidest statement I have ever heard. The whole squad got 42 league goals last season and 11 of them were from Dexter who we criminally have sold. Agy patheic 2 in 20 apps and cripple Helgs 5 in 20 really helped aye our main attacking options this term. With this attack we have we are going nowhere we must have the weakest attacking options in the league and its pathetic really. Vine is a good player not goal scorer and when playing his best only managed 7 in 33 and you say he will get 15+, you must been on the wacky backie when you did this post

We are not signing a striker so can we just move on the forward line is what it is and it is good enough IMO. I'd expect to see a left back and that is it, I'm hearing big things are expected within the club from Pellicori and if that is really the case then maybe we already have our man.

Think our squad is looking very strong for the new season, I only hope Fitz Hall hasn't wormed his way back into the starting 11.

Hope you are right w12 about pellicori, though little in his past form suggests that about him.

Re the original post - what makes me laugh is how can ALL these strikers score so many goals. because its our weakest area chances are we will only play one up front, so how are players who will probably be in the reserves score 15 goals. Dont think agy has ever managed more than eight or nine a season, so why as a sub is he going to score 15? Was this post intended ironically, to show up just how ludicrous the argument is that we have enough fire power?

Crazy as it may sound but Agyemang's goals per minute ratio is the best at the club. Obviously he, like the rest of the strikers, will have an abundance of creativity behind them and for some of them they'll have more chances on goal then they have ever had in their careers so even historical stats might not show a clear picture to what might happen. The stats might say that a player will score X but that is based on what he has done for us and previous clubs and unless we know how many chances per game he received and scored from and we can make a prediction on how many he may receive this season the stats won't show anything.

If this midfield doesn't produce chances then either Magilton is doing something wrong or they aren't as good as we think they are but if we are producing chances (and I believe we will produce far more than last season) we should score more goals. If though Agyemang et al still struggle to find the net early doors we will still have the loan window available to us if we haven't brought in another striker.

I think its fair enough that JM & JG want to give the strikers already at the club every opportunity to prove themselves before passing judgment, wielding the axe and buying replacements. And who's to say they and/or their scouts havent seen something in Pellicori that none of us lot have. Theyre at the training sessions and practice games everyday. Perhaps its time to show a little patience and faith.

Matt Derbyshire joined Olympiakos for 3m,scored 11 goals while on loan (inc one in the cup final) and has the prospect of Champions League/UEFA Cup football every season so i cant see him giving that up to join QPR.

we showed a little patience and faith last season and we finished 11th ,with 3 different managers,This is year 3 into our owners 4 year plan for champions league football,by my reckoning that means we MUST get promoted THIS season.

I can safely say QPR will NEVER play in the Champions League and I mean EVER

                                Never say never.

But not in the next 2 years for sure. So get that disappointment out of your system now, Matthew.
