If Hughes sees his ability - get him. Hughes has got quite a record of getting cheap players who turns out to be top top quality.
Chris Samba, £450.000 from Hertha Berlin. Value now? £10m +?
David Bentley, rumoured to be around £2m from Arsenal. Went to Spurs for £15m!
Vincent Kompany £6m from Hamburger SV. One of the best CBs in the world atm?

The blokes a beast, hard tackling box to box midfielder that can run all day.

Some of the big clubs in Europe like Bayern, Lyon and Napoli have been in for him recently I think- could be a top signing.

And it shows Hughes is making the most of his contacts in the game to get players in.

The thing is with QPR we havnt produce any new players of our own in ages, Faurlin is probably the only one we have

Faurlin was 24 when we bought him wasn't he? Or at least 22. Anyway, we hardly "produced" him.

The last decent player we produced was probably Richard Langley- which is an awful record when you consider how many good young players we used to bring through.

Well we signed him when he was 21 for what turns out to be a very little fee and no doubt if we were to sell him now without his injury would be worth close to £10m surely. in my eyes that is producing a palyer

Without getting too pedantic surely that's developing a player?

Producing suggests a product of the youth academy, which Faurlin was not.

Raheem Sterling was produced by us. Not proved anything at the top level yet but huge potential.

Don't worry, Hughes and Taiwo will be giving all our strikers lessons in how to strike a football over the coming days / weeks / months....

The way Taiwo strikes a ball reminds me of classic clips of Bobby Charlton. Hard to explain, but there's soms shots on one of his youtube clips and they show the same sort of trajectory that Charlton and any sweet stricker of a ball can get where it's hit with a little backspin giving slight lift... awesome.

Not that it really matters, I just thought I'd add that after Diakite scored that wondergoal (his only goal of his senior career) in the cup match against Auxerre, he went on to be sent off for a 2nd yellow later in the match.

                              Sounds positive.

Could just see it now couldnt you, a big ol' 747 with "Air Asia" plastered along the side landing at Mali's training camp!

Maybe a silly question but I don't know the answer,

Can representatives sign on behalf of him? Because i'm scared we won't get the deal done by 31st January becuase the final is 14th February & they won't let him leave his team
                                Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                                And many more mistakes
