  • Think we can do well this season .. lets be positive

So can we get in the top 6 this year... i think its definitely a possibility.

Its going to be a really competitive league this year, all the teams will find it hard including the big teams, every team is going to really want to beat Newcastle and Borro it will be a cup final for them, i am sure they will finish in the top 8 but aint going to be an easy ride. Forrest and Ipswich may need time to settle as well as having high expectations can make it more difficult (like it was for us in our second season) any of the other teams in this league could do well and that includes us.

As far as Rangers are concerned I was dead against Jim when he came but with John joining i feel we have a traditional balanced management team, they have a positive and mannered approach, with the squad we have i think we can do really well, we may not win the league but i think we will there or there abouts for a play off place.

Lastly for us to do really well we have to support the team and make LR an intimidating place to come to and lets not get on the players backs, some of the booing at games was terrible and will never help a player especially one on low confidence play better, from what i have seen of Jim he is very passionate and hates to loose and will give the players a good rollocking if thats ever needed. Lets be positive support the team and we will get in the top 6.

I am glad you feel positive, but I think people are over optimistic about finishing top 6, we do not look convincing or look like winners IMO, also I still feel we should had gone for sven or billy davies as they both have the experience in promoting teams, where as Jim is still a novice and plays people out of theier position which will cost us games.

I will be happy to be proved wrong, but I cannot see us finishing above 8th realistically.

Garo i was pessemetic, but after signing Taarabt I can see sort of ambition. Not being optimistic, but I expect us to be 10th by December at which time we may need to buy a proven striker on loan and other players to cover for injured ones to target the play offs

Olly games against Birmingham and Wolves showed that we can beat anyone in this league, i feel we are a better team now than then and i agree we will have to wait to see about how jim will do but one thing for certain we will play more attacking football than we did last year and score more goals, which was the reason we did not get into thee play offs.

good post, just hope the booing or finger pointing does not creep back this season. The club off he pitch should not be sprining surprises on us before a game, like introduicng higher priced tickets, when we are doing well.

The booing last season, was a particular problem and much of it was vented anger towards paying over the odds to watch the club play, which mean't players would get it if they under-performed.

Like Pete said if you raise prices you rise expectation levels.
It is only natural for the players to take the burden of this.
Some of the performance's last year killed the atmosphere.
These players earn alot of money and are expected to perform so lets not all feel bloody sorry for them. I could mention a few names that were just turning up and collecting their hefty pay packet and that is unacceptable
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Agree mate.Booing your own players can only have a negative effect. It will hardly make a player who is struggling play better will it?.

Don't personally think we will make playoffs myself, there are some strong sides in this league, but i think we could get 7th or 8th.

Which is an improvement in the right direction.

I look forward to being proved wrong though.
