which is precisely why the "i want it now" brigade dont understand what a big jigsaw this is. if spurs go for him this might free up pav or even - probably a hundred to one shot - defoe. but if not, hard to prize anyone away from spurs.

I really don't see Spurs selling anyone this month- just too much of a risk for them.

Also with Redknapp at the trial, he won't be making his usual late calls to do deals.

I don't see us getting Zarate, Alex or Henrique.

Perhaps we were being too ambitious with our targets?

On the plus side, if we only make a couple of signings and still stay up, Hughes will have a bigger budget in the summer to mould his own team.
