Remember reading an article about the Da Silva twins that they were illegally signed at 16 and werent allowed to play football at any professional level till they were 18.

Henrique was best plater at the U20 World cup so meets the criteria surely...

How many full internationals had the Da Silva twins played before Man Utd got permits????
Where they not bought over by the club as academy players, ie before they had signed pro contracts at there home town club?
Not saying its right but different rules apply when your dealing with younger players, ie scholars not pros.

Nail on the head about young players with potential Del, which is exactly why we should be appealing!

As for the De Silva twins, do they not hold dual nationality (Brazilian/Portuguese)?!!!!

We need to move on and forget this guy now, rejected and that's that, now instead of wasting more time on him we need to concentrate in getting a quality premiership striker in and the clock is ticking

              Henrique :(

QPR have failed in their attempt to sign Brazilian striker Henrique after he was denied a work permit. More to follow.

Sorry if someones already posted this but just seen it on sky sports news

Only when it suits; Liverpool got dispensation for Lucas when he didnt meet this criteria.

1 rule for some and another for the others eh....

"There is no room for appeal. Six man panel turned it down. Needed a majority verdict"

                        End of story

i dont know why we wasted our time with him. They have been tough with work permits for footballers for a while now and he hasnt had an international cap which is one of the criteria for it being approved.

In a way its fair enough. Clubs in England should develop its own talent. Its one thing bringing in an international superstar but why can't English clubs produce their own young talent?

As Ric says, might be a blessing - force the board to invest in a proper, experienced striker. Love the idea of signing young talent in principle, but right now we are desperate and need tried and tested experience. Santa Cruz plzzzzzze....

In a way I'm glad, had we got him I don't think we would have gone after an experienced striker, now we will have to
