I wouldn't read much into it. They started arguing when SWP was open in the box and Mackie elected to shoot rather than pass. It's more than likely forgotten about now.

Apparently SWP has since hugged Mackie's leg and they are fine.

i know spats are common, it's just this appeared far worse than usual, at multiple occasions and unexpected times. All of which just could smell a slightly bigger disagreement than normal.

Pressure / Intensity / desperation to win etc etc etc... all things factored and emotions can run high on the pitch. Teamates at all levels let off steam to one another all the time. For the occasions you see it on the field, times that by 50 in the dressing room.

I'm sure like most, this will all be water under the bridge now, especially after we secured the 3 points so desperately needed.

Actually i think SWP has had enough of how poor Mackie is and the fact that he plays in his position. Right near the end Barton released Mackie and 1 on 1 with a defender he took too long and ended up shooting on his left foot and it got deflected for a corner. SWP went mad mainly cause Mackie never looked like beating the man or getting his head up and passing it.

Once again Mackie was barely involved saturday and when he did have the ball he ran into someone or lost it. Please Hughes see sense and bench him.

Honestly think SWP has had enough and rightly so. That incident at the end summed the guy up and his lack of ability.

I was still at the ground 15=20 mins after the game. Huighes had the players doing a 'cool down' walk round the pitch a few times. It was more of a stroll. Mackie and SWP and Anton were happilly chatting among themselves for the duration. Clint, Joey and Paddy in another little clique. All is well.

P.S Joey ran half the length of the pitch to a few kids calling his name to sign some programmes and took Tommy Smith with him.

I do agree mackie has been poor past 3/4 games..

but swp has been as poor aswell.

i believe both are being played out of position though

I still find it frustrating that SWP isn't played in his best position just to accommodate Mackie.

Thought both played pretty well v wigan although they can do better.

I hate the way Mackie thinks he's really good, he's got no ability at all, he just runs and runs like a headless chicken and doesn't have a clue how to take on his man, it's just all effort. However SWP hasn't done much better this season, although he's been played out of position. If you want to moan at people on the pitch, then you've gotta earn it, you've gotta be a good player, not a clown like Mackie.

And how do you know he thinks this? He hasnt ever come out in interviews and boasted about himself.

I agree, SWP is better than Mackie and SWP should be played on the right to get the msot out of him; IMO a team needs to utilise their most talented players, not fit them in around others.

But, Mackie doesnt choise himself, its the gaffer that picks the team.

Has Mackie had enough of SWP as well? Perhaps he is annoyed about the amount of times SWP runs into several defenders and falls over or takes a **** poor shot? goes both ways.
