As much I love Warnock, it's clear the wheels were falling off. I imagine Warnock has a very old school approach to management and Premier League players are used to something a bit different. Also I suspect Warnock's reputation compared to MH when it comes to bringing in players played a part in it all.

Joining the dots W12 sounds spot on.
I have a soft spot for Warnock, still do, but the decision has been made and Im sure that the players would have been asked. Find nothing unusual about this, if rumours occur in any workplace which create an air of unease/tension an owner of a large business will always seek the input of staff.
The most important thing is that a line has been drawn in the sand. Hughes is our Manager and time to look forward not look at the past.

Several other players felt the same, but Barton is the only one to voice it publicly

Originally posted by W12_Ranger View PostSo this is the way i understand it Barton unhappy with the unprofessionalism of the coaching staff at Queens Park Rangers goes to the Board and informs them off the carry on and if it continues we are on a one way to ticket back to Championship and they need to sort it out.
Barton raises concerns about the coaching staff coming into work still hung over or half pissed from the night before and that the manager is spending half his time living in Cornwall during the week when he should be on the training pitch...along with concerns above the actual standards of coaching.
So the Board concerned approach NW who tells them everything is ok and then NW pulls JB to one side to tell him to wind his neck in. By this point Warnock is losing the dressing room, public dressing downs of Traore and Faurlin do not go down well with the squad along with the handling off Taarabt.....futher tensions from this point probably developed along with the poor performances over Xmas led to NW sacking
Now whether you believe that to be true its up to you but it's in the right boll park IMO. Now if this the case then maybe just maybe our PL survival may end up owing a debt off gratitude to Barton in the same way we owe Warnock a debt gratitude for getting us here in the first place.
At the end of the day, between Warnock and Barton I think the majority of people can agree which of the two is the more unsavoury character, especially if you watch the FULL 20 minute BBC interview with NW, next to Barton's latest tweets.
Barton should be fined for bringing the game into disrepute and be stripped of his captaincy for undermining TF, MH, the players and the club. Unless someone shows some backbone none of that is likely to happen due to our climate of player-power.Last edited by Stanley; 21-01-2012, 09:51 AM.

If this is the case and no one knows for sure, then maybe Barton has done us a favour. Warnock and Barton are cut from the same cloth and warnock has always loved a controversy and his apparent bitterness and jibes since leaving has taken the shine of everything he did for us. Remember, Bartons comments were only in response to warnocks BBC interview.

Warnock for all the good he did at the club, there were a lot of things that always annoyed me about him, and they have only been highlighted further as weaknesses in this recent slump.
He has a schoolboy mentality "It wasn't me miss, it was him", hence why he can never accept anything is / was his fault, and there was always excuses or blame cast on others, officials, other teams cheating, bad luck, injuries etc etc etc... at no point has he ever held his hand up and said maybe we got our tactics wrong today, but we learn from it and move on. It's never him.
He is an attention seeker, same as Joey, and he knew what he was doing in that interview. He could've said nothing, but he deliberately gave them something he knew they'd focus on, especially as it involved the "bad boy"... because he wants to remain in the spotlight.
Joey could rise above it, but tbf to him, he's just reacted in a similar way we all have, ie take a look at yourself Neil and stop blaming others. It's childish and pathetic. Has Joey really done anything controversial or inflamatory, not really.Last edited by Del; 21-01-2012, 10:16 AM.

He has OCD when it comes to stirring $hit - thats the bottom line.
At the end of the day bet there's tonnes of people who follow him who chastise him
At least he's interesting , controversial but interesting

Hand on heart you wont say its NW if you watch his full, unedited interview.

NW admitted in the interview that it was the results that cost him his job, so JB accusing him of "blaming everyone but himself" isnt even true.Last edited by Stanley; 21-01-2012, 10:44 AM.
