No one before or since the 70s period can match some of the players in that side excepting Sir Les, he is the only one who would have got into that team, imo.

He is only young.Look at Christian Ronaldo when he first came over here.He was the same,thought he could take on everyone.Adel will soon learn.

Ferdinand good finisher but could not begin to compare to Stan as an all round skilful player. Stan had it all ability,finishing,and ability to wind the opposition up so the commited fouls and gave away free kicks in dangerous areas.
Just his name on the teamsheet was worth a goal start.
Simply the best player seen in a QPR shirt, no-one compares IMO.

Might of had ability but wasn't as good as Les Ferdinand and my dad liked Gerry Francis more too

Having had the privilige to watch all 3 players, Stans natural ability was miles ahead of Les, he did things others could only dream about. Francis and Bowles were made for each other and made each other better players but Bowles still has the edge for pure entertainment !
