  • Does anyone miss the Championship?

This season has not been fun at all - I just feel stressed over Rangers all the time. Last season was an absolute blast - great and exciting football - the best I have seen for a very long time.

Would you rather be an exciting team in the Championship pushing for promotion or a struggling Premier League team playing embarrassing football?

Im the opposite! I was proper stressed last year as I didn't want us to blow it. I threw a proper strop every time we failed to win. And the pressure of Norwich and Cardiff on our coat tails was unbearable at times that coupled with points deduction etc.

This season Im actually really enjoying. WE ARE PREMIER LEAGUE which i think we forget sometimes

Im enjoying being up here, but dont wwnt to be in the prem too long unless we somehow manage to be a top 6 team. boring as **** otherwise in my opinion, give me one win away from bottom three, two wins away from the playoffs any day compared to a succesful season being 8th in the league

I am enjoying being in the Prem at the mo, however - I will miss the championship soon. If you are interested - here is why:

The Premier League is not a competition. There is no possible way most teams have any chance whatsoever of winning it. Every year pundits say Liverpool, or Spurs, or Newcastle, even Villa or someone will be in with a shout - they never are.

It is all well and good saying on the day bottom can beat top therefore it is competitive, but those days are very few indeed.

The Premier League is not the best league in the world, like our British media pundits tell us and it is getting worse. It is more and more boring, even if City have been thrown into the mix. In fact that proves everything that is wrong with the league.

The reason I think all this is because at best we could become an established Premier League mid table team. If you look at teams that acheive that - they have the least happy fans out there. Villa being an example. If I was a midland monkey, I would rather support West Brom than Villa - because being relegated, having winning years in the Championship and fighting (losing and winning) against relegation at least means they have had some damn excitement over the years.

For mid table prem clubs - there is no excitement. You won't go down, you won't get in the top 4, the best you can dream of is UEFA spot and then you don't want to play in that.

For me, the amount of coverage alone makes me prefer being in the prem. A lot of people who chat about football don't know much outside the prem (their loss I know), so it means now they know what i'm talking about with QPR and know a bit themselves

for competition and level playing field i do miss the championship.

if we remain in this league for a while then we wont ever get higher than 7/8th

I also enjoy the opportunity of us being able to take on the bigger sides with a slight chance of beating them. The underdog mentality kicks in and it feels like we've 'stuck it to the man' for 1 game at least.

Yeah i mean the 14 years prior to last season were a right laugh, played some great stuff and of course i miss my regular trips up north to the likes of Barnsley, Scunthorpe etc especially when they are midweek. Survive this season and our club will begin to move forward rapidly i believe.

I don't think it is just about where you want to be, we will all be happy if we stay up, but there are elements of being in the Championship that I would miss.

Winnning more games for one! Also, it is a better competition. And as for going to dumps - there are not too many dumps in the Championship. In fact there are a lot of clubs that are bigger than clubs in the Prem.

i did like the championship but must admit i prefer to be in pl, just getting to gams a lot easier and cheaper, sat tues sat tues really tough and getting to the real north midweeks are a pain in the ####
in terms of a competition i agree , in the championship you never really knew what would happen , the addage anyone can beat anyone is defo true
the pl has been a joke in terms of competiton for years and shows how wide the gap cos utd even though their team not as good as previous years still there and if anyhing the real gap oover 38 games just getting bigger and bigger
