That way of thinking doesn't work though. We are the only club that wanted Joey Barton what does that say about him? Or only League 1 clubs wanted Ephraim what does that say about him? Mackie is only championship quality but you could put anyone in that bracket of what level a player is because of the clubs he's linked with. Another one Taarabt and Al Sadd.Estamos QPR

Think we should keep him at least to the end of the season and use him as a sub. Ideally he should go out on loan as this would increase his confidence. However this is not an ideal situation and we cannot afford to let him go at the moment. We do not seem to have any midfield players or strikers in the pipeline at the moment (only seen posts on defenders).
Obviously if we were suddenly to sign three or four midfield players and strikers then this could change.

Ephraim needs to play 14 or so games in a row like Mackie has to see who would want him in order to make a comparision.
