He was tiring mate. If he'd stayed on much longer, they'd have taken control in the middle with ease. Plus he's needed for Saturday.
    Your mum would love me...

Only watched it on tv but thought it was one His better games in fact His best ,but still lacked urgency and any sort of penetration seemed to be playing in second gear leaving you thinking ffs get going !

Buzsaky was very good last night and the only reason he came off was to save him for Saturday, no other reason for that.

Bothroyd was frusrating, will bring it down well first and then the lay off poor. He is tall as well so should win headers but down win half as much as HH.

Macheda looked uninterested at times. But looked sharp in other instances, think Sparky can do something with him though to get him going.

Mackie was very poor last night, very poor. Ephraim would have been on for me.

Derry couldnt pass 2 yards majority of the first half. Glad Barton is back on Saturday, him and Buzsaky will start for that.

Hill was blowing after an hour but struggled on to the end. Dont know if he can get through another game this week but no other options unless someone is in by then. Alex comes in, I would possibly use Gabbidon? (thoughts)

Anton looked good night, very accomplished. Gabbidon not as good but good header for the goal and first from a set piece all season not included pens.

Wright-Phillips was running round like a bit of a headless chicken and I think Ian Wright was more disappointed in his performace by the looks of it. Not being rude but I could have slotted that one-on-one.

Mixed bag but a win is a win, how much confidence we will gain from it I don't know.

But at least we have another game with Chelsea to look forward to and hopefully we can smash them up a bit, and if or when we beat Wigan we have even more confidence for that game.

Buszacky was taken off for Saturday, he was feeling tired. My mate spoke to him at Virgin Gym after sundays game and he openly admitted lack of matches making him tired around 70 mins but he will only get stronger.

Bothroyd just has a shitty attitude... and is low on confidence, but that won't change if scoring against spurs and man city didn't help him. Derry was woeful as was Hill, but that's expected. Young, Macheda, Buz all did well and Helguson look like a bloody superstar when he came on.

Think I agree with every summary there. I think Macheda could come good, but we will have to wait and see.

Sorry mate if Buzacky was even average last night We are bang in trouble ,got to give Him the benefit of the doubt due lack of playing time tho ,a center mid needed is of the highest order , not overly confident for the weekend just my opinion hope to be wrong

I think Barton and Buzsaky will play better together and with 3 days preparation and opposed to 1 even if it was MK Dons who conveniently had their game postponed last Saturday owing to a frozen pitch, and I thought modern stadium all had under-soil heating.

I still think Hill and Derry will struggle come Saturday, Derry will be on the bench and Hill might start depending on developments off the pitch.

The crowd will be better on Saturday so another element to add

If Boff is lacking in confidence its because he need a goal. He's not going to get a goal by picking the ball up on the half way line and going backwards.

Bothroyd was very poor but so was most of the team.

Thought he was ok at best last night Bothroyd. I was a fan of his against Newcastle ( Home ), Wolves, Villa for example cause he held it up really well and gave SWP, Tarbs and Barton balls into feet and we were an attacking threat. But we were giving balls into his feet and chest back then. Trouble is now we just hoof it 50 yards and hope he wins it in the air which he struggles with. Half the time the hoof is nowhere near him!

But i have lost patience as he misses too many chances. This is costing us points and could cost survival. That chance on sunday from the Heidar knockdown should have been buried. But he blazes over and then smiles! Winds me up even more that does.
