Im really not sure! against more clinical (Premiership) strikers we would have been about 4 nil down before we scored.

Maybe Alex will sort him out but for me at the moment he is still a liability.

If we had the chance to have both Samba and Alex at the back then I would have no hesitation in dropping Anton. He's competent, even classy sometimes, but he will always be prone to a lapse in concentration IMO.

It is true he lost his confidence after the accident with JT but he performed well last night I think. We can help him doing better giving him our 120 % support in the FA Cup 4th round (and booing JT any time he even approaches the ball for the full 90 min).

He is a quality CB. He isnt perfect no, but if a defender had no flaws they would be playing for Barcelona and not QPR. By far good enough for us. Him & Alex at CB would be amazing, alot better than I could have ever expected before TF took charge.

Both Anton and Gabs did OK, still think they play a bit too deep and would prefer a higher line to compress the play. This would make the midfield much more compact, players wouldn't be so isolated and would be able to support each other better.

He was good, but what worried me was why he was so exposed and left to do all the work!

                      Agree Gerry.

However, think maybe yesterday they were playing it safe, what with that black chap up top for them being pretty rapid and our defence lacking pace, we didnt want a long ball over the top/through ball catching us out?

Because we have too many players in the side that don't have a good enough football brain to see potential risks before they happen, hence we get hit on the break too often when we lose the ball from an attacking situation or one of our corners etc. It's cost us many goals this season.

Anton was excellent, and i mentioned that particular incident in a post last night, however, we should never get ourselve sin that situation in the first place, and if the player had passed to the free man on the right then Anton would've had no chance.

True, but both the MK games have shown up our lack of pace through the middle, with Barton and Traore not there

Ferdinand was good last night (maybe the armband is helping him get over the Terry thing ?) but Traore's pace would have helped against those MK breakouts
